Event Description

Earth Day celebrations have been taking place at International Motorwerks since the Honda Civic Hybrid was introduced in 2002. We have viewed films such as "An Inconvenient Truth" and "Who Killed the Electric Car." We have visited McNeillus Wind Farm in Dodge Center, Minnesota. This year we have decided to have 8 experts talk about 8 energy efficiency and environmental topics.

Although I encourage everyone in your area to participate in your local Earth Day Event, it is my hope that the entire Pickens Organization will take this opportunity to hold Earth Day Events throughout the nation by combining and coordinating adjoining Congresional Districts as designed by Boone himself here on the Pickens Plan site. This would be a great way to display the kinder greener earth that is promoted by the Pickens Plan. For those truly interested in getting your own District Earth Day going please go to the Earth Day site at http://ww2.earthday.net/~earthday/node/88 and down load your very own organizers guide roughly almost a 40 page PDF file that has all the info needed to make a successful Earth Day event. In fact they also have a tremendous volunteer center http://ww2.earthday.net/node/9 where you can get your answers to your questions on how to do stuff. It's time for the Pickens Plan to really make some news at an appropriate event - the 39th celebrated Earth Day!
