A Turbine Powered Future (Worldbuilding Exercise)

This is a worldbuilding exercise. I try and trace the idea of a turbine powered future on my blog. What would a world look like with much more turbine based energy systems. Imagine if the Chrysler turbine powered car had succeeded, the Designline turbine electric bus was running in many more cities, the Jet Train was running on the rails, there were more landfill gasification turbines, ocean based energy turbines were starting to be mass produced, and wind powered turbines were much more common.

I am trying to picture how turbine based future would look like. What would make it possible? Why would we want it? Why wouldn't we want it.

I posted two posts earlier on my blog around the concept. A lot of the ideas are based on future ideas, energy farms, and similar things.

You could almost call this a form of compex science fiction. What would a well designed energy future look like.
