Forget about Politics...Lets make this a grassroots success!

I bet this will snowball huge! Because I know most Americans are positive and hardworking. And when they see someone with a good idea and the money to back it up they get behind the idea and get organized to make it work. We can do this!
PickensPlan is just a way for us all to make it happen from the grassroots and scare the hell out of congress and the future president. We all are very pissed off that for the last 30 years congress has worked for special interests and not the American interests. Its time for change. And we can do it! They have bankrupted our country and we need to throw them all out and start over.

We need a multi-prong approach to eliminating our dependence on foreign oil.

I like the electric car solution. But, it only makes sense when we have clean cheap electricity.
As long as 75% of our electricity is generated by burning fossil fuels, electric cars are still contributing the the problems (albeit at a lower impact level).

Nuclear power is the long term solution for clean electricity. When we get to the point where France is today - 80% electricity from nuclear power - then we should all be driving an electric car. If we start building nuclear power plants today, we might be there in 20-25 years.
So, what do we do until then?

T. Boone's plan will recude gas consumption by 32% and it will take 10 years to accomplish it.

There is one thing we can all do starting today that will save each of us 25% on gas costs and immediately reduce our national gas consumption by 25%..... SLOW DOWN!
By driving 15 mph slower most cars reduce consumption by 25%. That is the equivalent of paying $3/gal instead of $4/gal. Some SUVs and trucks have reported a savings of 40% by slowing down. That is the equivalent f $2.40/gal gas.

How far would you go out of your way today for $2.40/gal? How long would you wait in a gas line for $2.40/gal gas?

This plan will reduce the nations gas consumption by 25-30% overnight. That would have a significant impact on reducing our foreign oil imports by the end of this summer.
We can all be patriots and save money doing it. AND you do not have to spend any money to save money.
All the other plans I have heard involve spending money before you save money - get a tuneup, buy a hybrid, build wind farms.
The only cost of my plan is a little time each day.
For me I drive 28 miles to work on a freeway. Slowing down from 70 to 55 only costs me 6 minutes. A small price to pay to get $3/gal gas and help my country in the process.

It is a selfish thing to save money and it is also a patriotic thing to reduce our oil imports!
When else in history have we been able to be selfish and be patriots at the same time? :-)

Why all the media Hype over Alternative Renewable Energy?

The hoopla and the hype about the Alternative Energy Industry are due to several factors that can be summed up very simply.

Obviously the new cost of the old standard; OIL.
We as Americans never do anything until made to. IE: Voting.

Because of the Dynamic shift from a production society, post WWII in the US to a service or market Economy by the end of the 90’s.
Was one of a cause and effect, if you will…?

The 90’s was the internet boom….
The 2000 to 2006 the Real Estate boom….
Now we have Real Recession and Inflation, the economy going two different directions at the same time…Stagflation.

So it is quite evident the next boom to get America back on tract is the
Alternative Energy boom.
It’s what makes America Great.
It is these bubbles, or as Greenspan well stated it the “Frothiness” that becomes
THE AMERICAN ALTERNATIVE RENEWABLE SUSTAINABLE ECONOMY.

We will rebound and this Alternative Energy Industry will make it so.

A new market?

Our timing appears fortuitous.
Solarbuzz llc. Says “revenue for the global solar technology industry reached $10.6 billion in 2006, while capital investment through solar photovoltaic-technology business hit $2.8 billion”, the annual World Solar Photovoltaic Industry Report. In addition, the industry raised more than $4 billion in equity and debt financing, up from $1.8 billion a year earlier. Solarbuzz also predicts the industry could expect revenue to reach between $18.6 billion and $31.5 billion by 2011.
In addition, the company is in best effort negotiations with Washington, D.C.-based law firm Chadbourne & Parke LLP to study the feasibility of securing state and federal incentives on a project-by-project basis.

The solar industry is booming, boasting growth of more than 40 percent each year and some $30 billion in sales last year, according to Photon International

Clean energy investment soars

Investment in sustainable energy worldwide is posting big growth, with $148.4 billion going to the sector in 2007, according to a new United Nations report.
That was an increase of 60 percent over the previous year, and the dollars climb when all financial transactions including acquisitions are included. That number is $204.9 billion.
The majority of the money going to sustainable energy came in the form of investments geared at adding capacity for renewable energy — a 67 percent surge to $84.5 billion last year. Public market investment in sustainable energy more than doubled, to $23.4 billion from $10.5 billion in 2006. Early stage venture investments grew 112 percent to $2 billion.

The primary funding source will be a Private Placement Memorandum with Subscription Agreement.

Stock will be sold in units
One unit is = to 2000 shares
The cost is $25US per share
So the unit cost is $50kUS

This will be in the form of $25kUS interest only cash loan at 6% simple interest
With a promissory note of $1000US per month for 25 months. Certificate will be issued immediately and transferred at 25th month. This will coincide with Direct Public Offering.

The 6% interest is paid semi-annually to stockholders.
The 25kUS cash will stay in escrow until the day we go public then there will be the pay-out back to stockholders.
The $1000US per month will be used for operating capitol.

The Capitol Expenditures to build out manufacturing Plants, PV and Modular will come from DOE State and Locale Municipalities Grants and initiatives the bulk will be Bridge Loans/holding preferred stock with warrants.

I am as excited as the rest of you on this site about TBP's plan. In order for this to work we need more numbers (people) for anyone to listen. There are over 126 million registered voters that voted in the last presidential election. I think even one percent of those voters being members on this site would make a big statement. This site has only been up a short time and there are about 25700 members, not bad, but not enough in my opinion to be heard. The more members we get, the more it sparks curiosity in others, the more our numbers increase exponentially.

It has to be a grassroots effort, it has to snowball but how do we get the word out? There is only so much we can email our friends, family and colleagues. Out of about 20 emails sent only 4 signed up. TBP started this site to spread the word but email goes only so far and commercials and interviews on news channels go only so far. This plan needs to be run like a presidential campaign. How do we get the numbers?

1. We need : a national standards for all states to be enact for net metering and that standards include 2 MW limitation on size. 25 kW to 100 kW will not allow business and industries to address their power requirements.

2. We need: The ability of community solar and wind farms to allow companies, homeowner to park their renewable machines and allow for net metering activities to occur instead on the premise. This would allow for orderly grid management of distributed energy systems.

3. We Need a compressive incentive program much like the Europeans but different. We need 50 Billion energy trust to be managed by the states for incentive either tax credits or rebates that can allow individuals, businesses and industries to adopt the renewable energy technology.
4. We have the technology today for wind and solar. Private venture funds are funding all type of systems and technology. With advent of 50% solar conversion efficiency by University of Delaware and MIT new organic dyes systems. the ball game is about to change. We need to support the DOE 10 Billion loan guarantee program already enacted. We need to pass the new SBIR and STTR program to provide 300K for phase I and 2.1 M for Phase II projects and national goal of 2 Billion for SBIR and STTR programs.

5. We need a real incentive for American to drive different cars manufactured in America by American, We need a Federal Tax credit that support high gas mileage cars and as the gas mileages increases the higher the tax credits.
6. Finally, we need to enact 10 year Production Tax Credit for wind, solar and other renewable energy. We stop the "stop and Go" policy of the past congresses.
