PickensPlan

I am suggesting that there be a way to access lists (by state?) where the army can regularly check on which of their elected officials have signed up...or not signed up...for The Plan. Such a checkpoint would help to target actions needed as well as allow for appropriate "thank you's".

Ouch! So sorry your reps are diverted from our problems. I heard back from both Senators Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell, but not with any direct viewpoints on The Plan. I will be writing again, and again, and again...

I've not heard from Governor Gregoire and have yet to contact the republican dandidate for that office.

Thanks for supporting the idea. How do I get it to the people who can actualize it?

Nothing official, I just wanted the same thing you did so I made it. Please post what your elected officials are up to in the appropriate state and invite them to join the discussion.
From Johanna Standish's comments, it sounds like your reps aren't responding with any committed answers, but you might try using Project Vote Smart, a group that I believe is nonprofit, which tracks voting records of federal and (sometimes) state congresspeople. Pickens Plan might be too recent for them, but it's worth a try.

You can reach them at http://www.votesmart.org.

Also, one thing I do when I write senators and representatives is send an email to all my friends, with directions on how to send letters to their representatives and senators in their own district, and email those letters out, saying that whether they do any thing is up to them (e.g. I won't check-up on them or any thing like that), but I would appreciate it if they would email it to someone who might. Strength is indeed in numbers!
