PickensPlan

Any energy plan that does not include Plug IN Electric Cars as its centerpiece is faulty and misguided. The survival of the world depends on the end of the use of oil as soon as possible. Natural gas while cleaner than oil is still a potntial menace to uor environment. Plug in electric cars are the answer. They can be recharged with a domestic solar or wind energy energy system and recharging stations which would only require a simple 110 or 220 outlet. Converting to natural gas is a waste of time and resources. Natural gas still puts pollutants into the air.The electrical grid is the easiest way to get power to cars. Lets put an end to oil. I would rather see the oil industry become extinct than the polar bear. How does Mr Pickens feel about that?
Why has Mr Pickens failed to mention electric cars in the plan?

Liz and Richard,
This documentary was an eye opener for me and in my opinion a must see for anyone who is concerned about energy. Now recently there has been a major advance in battery technology which may supercede the battery controlled by Chevron. Here's the link:

First off, you just shot yourself in the foot by using PISTONS, which were state of the art in...1890!!! Anyone using pistons is DOOMED. You will never be able to cleanly, efficiently, and quietly burn ANY fuel, even fuels containing up to 30% water, which...BTW=biofuels...I mean...it's really just beyon words....and...why do otherwise intelligent people think they can achieve 21st century goals with technology that was officially obsolete by 1910??? I guess you just have to be one of the few who actually does their HOMEWORK at the United States Patent Office

oh hey but don't worry, you're in good compay because the overeducated idiots at the DOE, Big 5 auto, and of course the oil companies made the same mistake, using state-of-the-art technology to investigate HCCI technology...oops but now with the HCCI you forgot to incorporate fuel preheating, Brayton cycle efficiency, plasmatron/RF/ultrasonic frequency Tesla ignition...but hey, if you think pistons are the answer, well, nobody will be able to show you otherwise

700HP Lightning GT Electric Sports Car Goes 200 Miles On 10 Minute Charge

With an electric motor at each wheel, the UK-built Lightning GT, unveiled yesterday at the British Motor Show, is said to produce a total of 700 HP. According to the company, the Lightning's nanotechnology battery pack will provide a 200-mile range on a ten-minute charge.

The Lightning GT's nano-titanate batteries are supplied by a U.S. company called Altairnano, who claims the NanoSafe cells have a 12+ year life expectancy and retain 85% of their charge capacity after 15,000 cycles. They're also free from heavy metals, toxins and graphite, and are more thermally stable than other high-tech batteries.

Clean energy is possible, Only a direction is required, Thanks Pickens!
CARBON NANO BATTERY NEEDS FAST-TRACK to production 1MW-hr of power in a 1 FT3 battery...

Now get the nuc's online to stop CO2 release for ever !!!
