Global Terrorism erupts in India

For those who do not believe that we are interlocked in a global battle of ideologies reports specify that the terrorists were specifically targeting Americans and westerners. Reportedly, the terrorists were from our ally, Pakistan, and all Muslim.

Have you ever wondered why there are no white, Anglo-Saxton-Protestant terrorists? They are probably too busy working, and paying taxes.

And I would be more than happy to hunt them down with funding, either from the U.S. government, who appears to really not want to or private investors. Wouldn't it be great to assemble a team of qualified mercenaries still restless with early military retirement but not bound by international law or hesitancy?

i have a muslim buddy that owns a store.he is amazed at people getting up and going to work at 6am.he says people in india don't like to work.he says they sit around all day and talk.and that he ain't never seen people work as hard as they do here in America.

There is no doubt in my mind today that India is the weakest country in regards to terrorism. That's why they are a target, because terrorists will pick out the softest target, everytime. Once we were pretty soft, too. But that has apparently changed, and India was the weakest.

I think this economy thing is going to shake out the fact that, yes, India and China are big countries, but they are not as great as they could be. half of them are still crapping on the ground.

I think your statement is dead on, save one point, this economy thing is going to make India and China stronger on monatary scale, they own alot of our debt.

Well, Ty,
India and China agreed to accumulate those debts as a condition of our buying what they had to sell.

I'm not aware of any time that the US has defaulted on those debts. Those debts will be paid back as agreed.

India and China can't up and decide to collect on those debts as long as the US is paying them as agreed.

Although the degree of liquidity is different, their relative strength monetarily is the same.

Maybe I'm looking at it to simplisticly, but I can't agree with our handwringing friends who think that India, China, or anybody else can change the deal and want all their money NOW. My experience is that debt, and the service of that debt isn't the best position to be in, but it is nothing more than the "cost of doin' bidness", as our Texas friends say

I'm not so sure that China is going to do well in this slowdown. They are dependent in a large part on exporting goods to us. Since the dollar has been down and our economy is slumping, we are not importing as much. There's a couple of articles attached here, the first talks about China's economic growth slowing by half from 2007 to 2009. The second is a blog from US News & World Report.

The timing of the attack is interesting. The US has been sending rockets over into Pakistan and killing militants. Even Pakistan has been attacking militants along the Afganastan border. Now Pakistan will have to remove those troops if India moves more troops along their joint border. If this scenario is a correct motivation behind the attacks, it sounds like Al Quaida (sp) is being hurt by the latest US tactics and the Pakistani cooperation.

Latest published intelligence reports show that valid sources cite the Moombai attacks as a pre-cursor, staged by apprentices, for a similar attack on either British or US soil. Another target was the Spanish Riviera, where many affluent Brits are known to collect for vacations.

The pro-western Pakanstani cooperation and coordinated attacks are having a good effect, and it is also believed Al-Queda #2 is lingering there in the next raid zone.

The Obama Administration and the UN was briefed on this in the last 24 hours -- Reuters.
