Now you are getting attention you reopen the page and discussion. Get with the program James the Pickens Plan is not about you it's about joining together for a singular cause.
You have threatened to drop out before and we all gave you the big thumbs up cheering you on to stay when you were booted for soliciting before.
Stick to your convictions. You said you were going because of all the BS. Well???? GO!!

The BS is making people leave PP. That is my whole point.

This is not just for James, but for everyone. In these tough economic times, many of us are struggling to keep a roof over our heads and a warm meal in our stomachs. I and a friend also have been struggling to find work as well as investors.

But please try an put things in perspective here. We are going to have detractors, some that just don't really get it, and others that are afraid if we do succeed, we will put them out of work if they are in the oil or power industries. To the latter group, i suggest that you seek training and employment in clean energy enterprises, and reinvest your stock portfolio accordingly.

We all have our own personal views as to what constitutes the best way, and can offer data to back up those claims. But if we are to succeed in being energy independent, we must all agree to put our differences aside for the common good of all. Focus the anger into motivation and drive, tempered with love for humanity.

Did you join this forum to try and gain the respect and interest of a real investor with money to help you grow your idea? You ought to know that you have a 1% chance of that actualy happening.
So many people are facing serious finacial struggles. I lost my well paying job to the economic slow down. My husband and I have begun our own business. We have very little money but we do have a great deal of heart and passion. I wish you the best and I hope that you accomplish wonderful things!

Actaully I was invited to join PP. By a person in Alaska. You should ask them about their trash problems.
I know how tough the economy is, and if you are doing bad, you are certainly not alone, I hope we can turn this around. And make jobs from trash, and pollution. Actually my chances are 1 in a googleplex but that only makes it more worthwhile. PP knows how many have left, because of stalkers, vicious attacks by people like DD. If you dont believe me ask Joel Maddalone. Me and him had a talk, he is a featured member. I don't think I will be one, because mad scientists are loose cannons. But they let me stay, why. I have not figured that one out yet?

Wow I am typless !
I have shamelessly been pluggin my deal and had no idea of the discord that may come from it. I'm here to support the plan. I thought start ups and wacky ideas were welcomed topics. I am not sure how all the lobby stuff goes or how sending letters to representatives works. What actually is it that happens if Obama adopts the PP. Where does joe average benefit. Does everyone get a free conversion ? Does my electrical bill go down? Will start ups get grants ? Will it create enough jobs for working folks to afford to rebuild their lives? Will the heating bill go down ? If people can not afford to eat and have homes because there is no work and people in this forum have only money for wall street because main street is to risky I fear we will add to the greater separation of the have nots from the haves. Strange how everyone loves a story of rags to riches but I've heard people that are investors say they only invest in people that have money. Is the elephant in the room poor people with ideas, plans asking for investment dollars or just poor people period? If the choice is spend money on a conversion or eat the haves will have and the have nots will not? If everyone sent $1 to the plasma deal no one would go without eating and people would get to work on the deal and many that had no jobs would afford there homes. I say help a brother out. Even if in a few years it didn't pan out people still would have benefited that need work now and if it does pan out look how many would be affected. I wonder if no matter what we do we are not going to get back to the day's of American brotherhood, I'll raise your barn you raise mine We'll raise his. Are we going to strangle the Spirit that has created the free world? At least it will be clean poverty. There is incredible synergy to be independent from oil and I'm sure it will happen. Humanity, Dignity, Honor, Fellow Man, Fellow American is there a PP for that? I will now go take a moment and reflect on all the suffering and loss that My Fellow Man is feeling without judgment as to why they are where they are at because not all things are as they appear. Somewhere a child in a US home is hungry or there parents can no longer provide for them. Dignity, Honor is given how else can respect be earned ?

Yes! Yes! If everyone gets out of that "What's in it for me?" mode of thinking and starts looking how this all can come together and benefit the planet, then it won't be like billions for a bailout. It will be a contribution to really making a positive difference on the planet.

I like the Credit Union idea, where loans are offered to those that want to install wind/solar, and very little or no interest, so long at they pay back on time. Loans to small businesses to install clean energy and renovate their homes to SEE standards.

If we are going to do this, it will be a multifaceted approach, which will create jobs and products. It has already stretched beyond the scope of the original Pickens Plan, as it incorporates so much more than wind and gas.

I know that I am only one person, and my reach is irrelevant if nobody listens. I do not know any way as being the right way. What I do know is that there are many ways that when combined together, play a symphony of conservation and generation that compliments the harmony of nature.

American patriotism is not about loyalty to the President or the Congress. It's about supporting and defending the Constitution and the sovereignty of the union of states. It's about allowing Americans to live there lives free of the burdens of taxation, free to practice their own religion, free to pursue education and profession they excel in, that they have a passion for, not because they have money or privilege, but because they want to.

While our troops are defending us abroad, fighting the terrorists on their lands, we have an obligation to defend America for them also. We have a duty to insure that those that put their lives on the line for America, have homes and employment when they return. Those that return with medical needs must get treatment, not just for themselves, but for the families that will look to them for providing.

But must of all, we must come together in ways that America has done before in times pf crisis. Not by relying on government services, but by being in service to others within the neighborhood or community.

I would really like to see this whole thing become a not for profit agency that can be a clearinghouse for things related to making America independent of all commodities and energy. I'd like to see the seeds of energy independence we sow today be reaped in our own lifetime, and provide a clean and safe environmental legacy for generations to come.
