if college students can fuel a bus with oil from fast food places why can't gov.?? why don't all school buses do this, wouldn't this help all the way around?? the money saved could stay in the school for books, music, ..... it seems there is an imediate solution right there!

You would need to analyze the associated costs of filtering the oil (you cannot run it straight from the fryer) and the conversion of the busses. You will also need to factor in the added maintenance these vehicles will require. If those numbers come up to less than the current fuel and maintenance costs, you have a winner.
so why couldn't this be a class offered? the students work on cars & other votec that could take care of this. college kids could have a class as well to over see the high school kids. this would be some education on the subject maybe some of these kids will be the ones to solve our unsaciable need for fuel. there are already people to keep the busses so why wouldn't the savings from desil cover this? it can't be too big of a cost if someone featured on CNN used a regular home water heater to take care of the processing of the oil. the same could be said for a windmill for the power needs of schools as well. If there is no power bill being paid and usually the power company buys the excess power, there is your money to fund this. there will be a start up cost of course, but the way government throws away money why wouldn't this be a profitable investment, there has to be a point to where we all have to stop being so lazy and stand up and do something to help ourselves. that is the only anything will get done!
As I said, crunch some real numbers to see where this idea stands. If it is truly a cost effective alternative, then present it to your local city council.

Or you can keep mispelling words and spouting incoherent thoughts, your choice.
Austin TX has an initiative where a private business picks up used cooking oil from restaurants and recycles it for use as biodiesel. The businesses that collect and hand over the oil get tax credits as does the recycler.

My guess is that similar models could be worked out for virtually every major city in the USA.
