This is the same Pickens that Swiftboated John Kerry, right?

This is the same Pickens that Swiftboated John Kerry, right? Then reneged on his $1 Million dollar wager (twice) that nothing in the swift boat ads could be proven false, right? Yes, he's one and the same.

This is also the Pickens that has contributed more than $5 Million in campaign and political contributions to Gee Dubya and his neo-conservative cronies, the very ones that have polarized the country, told us we were invading Iraq because of non-existent WMDs etc. etc.

And now it turns out that it is ALL ABOUT THE OIL.

And here we have Slim Pickens telling us we all have to "get on the same page" and "be on the same team" and "elect the right leadership". I wonder if the Pickster thinks any of those "right" leaders ought to be Democrats?

Let's face it. I don't care how wealthy a mogul this guy is, he has absolutely zero credibility if you read his bio. Go ahead and read his Wikipedia bio with an unbiased eye, then tell me you trust this guy to tell us how to save the country. This guy trying to unify America is like Attila the Hun trying to unify Asia and Western Europe.

One way to have the biggest influence is for us to contact our government reps and tell them we want action, and to consider some real solutions or else they will be voted out, period ! To much talk and partisanship, and hardly any action at all. Now is the time. Bombard Congress with our wishes for energy independence, now !!!
BTW it has recently been proven that the last cycle of global warming was caused by dinosaur flatulence, and the effect killed them all off! Now our greatest danger from global warming comes not only from CO2 immissions but from the hot air expended by career polititions only worrying about if they can stay in office and create gridlock with progress on any front. Do you really think that the presidents can be blamed for all our ills in this country? I was taught in HS that the legislative makes the damn laws, so spread the blame around where it belongs. Give Mr. Pickens the respect he deserves. And what ??? Contact the law makers and threaten their jobs. And wait for this movement to further organize, because it will. And it can make a difference along with every other resources we have available to us. Oil, Gas, Nuke, Bio, Wind, Geo-thermal, etc., and etc.; ▶ Reply to This

That doesn't resemble your hot air or anyone I know currenltly in public office on either side of the aisle. He's made his money and is in his 80's. I think he cares about this country more than enriching himself at this stage of the game. He knows oil is too high and he also knows why. Try listening to what he's saying with your "unbiased" objectivity. What are you doing to solve this nation's economic problems? I'd learn a little bit about someone before I started attacking them. Mr. Pickens has developed a sensible, logical plan to pull this country out of its energy dependence on the Middle East and petty dictators like Hugo.
