This is the same Pickens that Swiftboated John Kerry, right?

This is the same Pickens that Swiftboated John Kerry, right? Then reneged on his $1 Million dollar wager (twice) that nothing in the swift boat ads could be proven false, right? Yes, he's one and the same.

This is also the Pickens that has contributed more than $5 Million in campaign and political contributions to Gee Dubya and his neo-conservative cronies, the very ones that have polarized the country, told us we were invading Iraq because of non-existent WMDs etc. etc.

And now it turns out that it is ALL ABOUT THE OIL.

And here we have Slim Pickens telling us we all have to "get on the same page" and "be on the same team" and "elect the right leadership". I wonder if the Pickster thinks any of those "right" leaders ought to be Democrats?

Let's face it. I don't care how wealthy a mogul this guy is, he has absolutely zero credibility if you read his bio. Go ahead and read his Wikipedia bio with an unbiased eye, then tell me you trust this guy to tell us how to save the country. This guy trying to unify America is like Attila the Hun trying to unify Asia and Western Europe.

The thing driving me crazy is the debate, hearing both candidates talk about clean coal? CLEAN COAL? Isn't that like an honest thief or dry water? The big money is pushing that damn clean coal stuff and it's so bogus, that they can pump all that into the earth and have no consequence. Talk about scary unproven ideas. Neither Obama or McCain have a clue in the world about this energy crisis and all their advisors are simply big coal/utility lobbyists. Pickens plan is atleast a start, and like it or not, it has logic.

well i think if you investagate these very finacial theories are and have been being taught by liberals in our higher education if you take a conservative view you won't get good enough grades to pass.

Yeah, I'm late to this discussion. Yeah, I've read most of the posts. Don't much care.
The guys ad where he's talking about change and pretty much steals Obama's words is what brought me here. How arrogant.

I agree with Eric all the way. This guy had a major impact in the 2004 election and it was by sleazy and untruthful attacks and he hasn't got the guts to stand up to scrutiny on the matter. How'd that election turn out for us? And he did renege on the million. He's a liar.

And for those of you who will ask what's my plan? I'm 59 years old, I get to work every day, 32 miles round trip, on my bike whether it's 10 degrees or 110, howling freezing winds or hellacious thunderstorms. And I've been doing it for 22 years. I don't eat meat. I installed solar panels in my home. I replaced all my appliances with low energy ones.
I put 9500 miles on my bike last year and 2600 on my car, mostly during the worst of winter, ice and snow. That's about my average year after year. I do my shopping on my bike, I go to movies on my bike.

What's my plan? I walk the walk. Now, what's your plan?

And I'll be damned if I'll join forces with a sleaze ball like this guy. Period.

Boone performed a great service to his county by knocking out John Kerry (SWIFT BOATED) or what ever you want to call it.

Kerry is a disgrace to the uniform of the American Military.. I can say this from personal experience
