WHAT ABOUT HYDROGEN FUEL? WOULD LOVE INPUT AND A DISCUSSION ABOUT THE SUBJECT.

I think hydrogen fuel is the fuel of the future its the most abundant element, its what powers the sun, and Honda has already made a vehicle that has the range, safety rating, and speed to travel on the roads as an everyday car. This can take our dependence off of foreign fuel and be the cleanest thing for the environment that i know of. The car is the Honda FCX Clarity you guys should check it out.

Love Hydrogen.Honda's fuel cell car uses compressed Hydrogen. Industrial process is neccessary to safely produce compressed gases.Hydrogen is what gets the Space Shuttle into orbit.On a smaller and personel level,anyone can build a small Hydrogen on demand system.I have one in my Chevy Blazer and have realized a 45% MPG increase.With my help many of my friends are doing the same,you can too.Go to you tube ,punch in Hydrogen and begin your education.I will gladly share my knowledge on this subject with everyone. No need to purchase an expensive Hybrid.Just turn your present vehicle into one.
Here's a couple reasons why people are skeptical about claims of gains using Hydrogen Enhanced Combustion systems for vehicles. All the positive PR comes from people Selling the systems, or from users that just spent a couple hundred dollars on a system.

Until long-term results can be verified by a university, independent testing laboratory, or an entity like CARB, EPA, DOE... I will remain skeptical of any claim that using power produced by my engine, to make hydrogen that's burned in my engine to increases the efficiency of my engine has any real net gain.
It would be a mistake to think of hydrogen as a fuel. A better way to look at it is a type of battery or energy storage system.

To get hydrogen in the form needed, liquid hydrogen molecules, takes a lot of energy. Using it in a car fuel cell or other engines gets back much of the energy put in but not all. The only way hydrogen helps with the overall energy and global warming problems is to get it from renewable energy like wind and solar.

The Solar Windmill is a new invention that uses both wind and solar energy to generate electricity. I has several advantages over standard wind turbines: more energy during peak times because of the solar effect, operation where the electricity is needed by attaching to tall buildings, increased wind speed at the turbine allowing operation in low-speed wind, and reduced costs per watt-hour of output.

You have a have a different idea of what "much of the energy" means. Making Hydrogen using electrolysis is at best 75% efficient, liquefying hydrogen is at best 70% efficient, At best hydrogen fuel cells are 50% efficient. This means you get less than 25% of the energy out that you put into Hydrogen, and this is without evaporation, leakage, transportation losses factored in. Not what I'd consider "much of the energy". If you burn it in an ICE like in the BWM Hydrogen 7 you now drop to something like 6-7% due to the inherent inefficiencies of the Otto Cycle used in automotive engines.

I like hydrogen fuel as well but mine is a little differnet. Mr John Kanzius is a retired engineer who has been looking for a cure for his cancer. In the process he may have found a cure for most diseases eventually and quite by accident found out how we can burn salt water using radio waves. Mr Kanzius has been featured on Sixty Minutes and Fox News so this is not a hoax. There are numerous videos on Youtube about Mr. Kanzius, please check them out www.youtube.com. Just go to the top of the page and type in Kanzius.

On the Internet there are some studies that say you have to use to much energy to burn the water for it to be practical but with some research who knows. Mr Kanzius did not set out to burn water but he did by accident.

Hopes will be high for H, but it has too many immediate disadvantages due to storage, volatility, and infrastructure. It needs more resources from Uncle Sam and will be viable in another 20 years or so.
Keith-All valid points but when we have a challenge the best way to solve it is common sense. Check out our plan at http://newghas.com. It can be viable in just a few years. Our plan calls for production and compression of hydrogen gas on site at the location avoiding infrastructure issue. Storage is not an issue for the number of vehicles using hydrogen. Honda FCX is a production ready car and GM says they could do the same with their Equinox SUV FCV. These are not some "add a kit to your car gadgets". I would be concerned about adding any kind of hydrogen produciton unit to an exsisting vehicle and sure wouldn't do it to anything that has warranty still in place as I am sure it would void any factory or extended warranties. I see a lot of comments on the various posts about the efficiency of hydrogen production and you see numbers like it is 70% efficient etc. but comparing to what is my only question. If you apply our plan to use electrolysis of water to seperate the hydrogen out in gas form and use renewable energy to produce how is that not 100% efficient? Could we put the power in the grid? Yes, but we are looking for a solution to reduce oil dependence for transportation. I have a review on my website of the Honda FCX and it is getting 68 mpg eqv on a fuel cell. The fuel cell is the way to go with hydrogen used as a compressed gas to power the fuel cell. Honda is developing a home fueling station that you can fuel up at night using grid power or renewable energy from home. With the addition of home fueling stations you wouldn't need a station on every corner but you would need them at 100 to 150 mile intervals to fuel up on the road when on a trip. Our plan will solve the issues you mentioned and not use $1 in tax money.

Very misleading of you to say asking for $100,000 contributions. I would think someone reading the website close enough to see the one spelling error on the page would not confuse contribution and purchase. We are not asking for any contributations. Our participant packages range from $3.99 for a bumper sticker to a large individual package that has discounts on fuel for life. Most of our packages, except the $3.99 package, have discounts and some have free fuel at company owned stores that will in most cases at least double the amount of the participants package in return. We do have corporate sponsor packages up to $100,000 for a lifetime permant link on our website. Comparing our price to most website advertising that is low. When our website hits the mainstream media and has 100,000 visits a day it is a bargain. We are using hydrogen generators powered by renewable energy to produce. We are going to produce fuel onsite to eliminate the transportation and large storage issue. I had my webdesigner correct the mispelled word. Thanks for pointing it out. We have only had the site up about 5 weeks and it was proofed many times and spell checked. Don't know how he missed it. There were no other spelling errors that the spell checker found.
