It is so sad that we are in a War based on bad information. I am concerned about the price of gas, food and the way the Bush administation has ruined this country. I have Nephews in Iraqi. My Brothers and my Father fought for this country. I have family that died for this country. None of us ever expected see this country in another depression and the hands the the Bush administration for his on needs and the needs of his Vice President and their friends. It is killing us.
That is a good questions. I notice that the Senators we voted for don't even consider why we even put them in office. The Senate has their own agenda. All of the Senate and the Bush Administration is bringing our country to its knees.
Thank you for your reply.
You are so right, Perry. Don't know where you got your information but I got it from watching this video by Lindsey Williams. If you haven't seen it then by all means go HERE when you have about an hour to spare.
I promiss you will not fall asleep and what he says rings true to the statement you've posten here.
Thank you for sharing the blog. I saw this too. Our elected official are acting like they are all elected to act as if we have given them an open check book on our economy. What I want to know how do we really force the issue of making the Senators and the President sit up and take notice of what Mr. Lindsey has brought to the table pretaining to the oil crisises. Is the Bush Administration and our Senators so knee deep in the foreign investors pockets that they won't listen to him?
They won't listen to him because they already know the truth. Did you watch the entire video? The Bush admisistration is trying it's damdest to drain this country to death. Why? What's in it for them? Do they care? Ever hear of take the money and run? We will end up a 3rd world country and sooner then most may think!
I am so proud of the Pickens Plan and the great ideas and comments borne of this initiative and “Army” that is growing exponentially. However, I do have one very serious concern.
It is quite clear that this current administration is posturing and readying for unprecedented events in the Middle East. These new “open dialogues” and communication with Iran are all guises that will inevitably lead towards a US backed attack on Iran by Israel that will eventually lead to the US becoming fully immersed in a much more serious war in the Middle East. Iran is not Iraq and they will fight back.
All of this will happen just after the RNC convention in September, probably in conjunction with a terrorist attack on American interests or our sovereignty. Bush will enact emergency directives NSPD51 / HSPD20 thus suspending our upcoming 2008 general election.
We must start educating Americans as to the real reason we attacked Iraq… and that was to gain control of there oil production and trade. In June of 2008 several large Oil Companies, including Exxon Mobil (huge profits), moved into Iraq to control the many platforms and refineries, but more importantly this oil production is back to trading in dollars rather than Euros. When Saddam switched to the Euro in 2000, he defined his fate, 9/11 was allowed to happen due to the discountenance of the abundance of intelligence, and we attacked Iraq.
The same thing is happening with Iran. Their Oil Bourse is trading in Euro, thus the steadily weakening dollar. Iran has no intention of using nuclear weapons or bombing Israel. To do so would only define their fate and destruction. It is the United States that plans to escalate aggression with Iran and gain control of their oil production and move back to trading in dollars.
What does this have to do with the Pickens Plan?
All of these great grass root campaigns, ideas, movements, meetings, development, deployment and publicity will be put on hold as we tune into mainstream media to watch the slow destruction of our world. Once things escalate in the Middle East there will be other unprecedented aggressions by other Countries (e.g. China, Taiwan, North/South Korea, etc) and before we know it we will be immersed in World War III.
We need to STOP BUSH/CHENEY in there tracks, right now! But this is a monumental task. They will stage some kind of event that will make Iran look like the aggressor thus starting the wheels in motion. I do not have the definitive answer but all of these wonderful grass roots Pickens Plan initiatives are in jeopardy if Bush/Cheney are allowed to proceed with their underlying plans.
All of this is just my humble opinion. Please perform your own due diligence.
I agree. We used to be the beacon of hope and the envy of all. Now, we are trying like hell to get that third world nation status.
But... this is what we have. Let's all hope some great minds come up with some alternatives, though we should all be prepared for a very rough, unrecognizable country until ideas can turn into results.
All we can do is our part now.
True I agree and I am sadden for what our children have to look forward to. I homeschooled my child for 2 years. I still work with her at home on her studies and I am teaching her a second language. We also bake bread and cookies for ou church and soup kitchens. My Mother is 87. She lived through the great drepression. Recently she called her children together and demanded we help our soup kitchens and churches. But I fear it will be too little too late. Thank you for your reply.
I am an Operation Iraqi Freedom vet and probably a soon to be Afghanistan Enduring Freedom vet.
This economy is not Bushes fault. It is the fault of how Washington D.C. has become overrun by bureaucrats. They will take away 3.2 trillion dollars from Americans this year and call it "their" budget. The drop of the dollar is why oil is so high. Food prices are rising because Congress mandated corn for ethanol. Bush is at fault for not doing anything and becoming at tax and spend liberal. I have had enough of fake politicians running this country.
I encourage everyone to vote 3rd party. Bob Barr, Ralph Nader, Chuck Baldwin or Cynthia McKinney. The Dems and Reps are what is wrong with this country. Not the common people.
I agree with most of what you said... however...
Do you think the war is costing us and that it just might have something to do with the economy? (and the housing market disaster)
And food prices are rising because FUEL prices have risen. The dollar dropped because fuel prices have crashed the economy- no one is spending or they have no money to spend because the increased cost of living.
We are in a mess for sure. Bush does bear a great deal of responsibility for this economy, imho.
I do think it is time for the people to take our country back though!
p.s. I like the bird. I think we should vote him in office that way at least we will have someone who will listen and act on our behalf. Also we will never have to worry about the bird having a bad hair and he will probably be the only official who will make sense. Take care.
My husband was a vet from the gulf war. My father was a vet of WWII and saw action in Pearl Habor and the South Pacfic and Germany. Both my brothers served in the Air Force and the Army during the cold war and stood on the wall to protect our country. My nephews serve proudly in Iraq. I lay blame on the issues of our country on all of our states men. All of them have acted poorly and did not act in the interest of their country. I praise your actions on behalf of our country and I admire and respect what you have given to us as a country. Thank you so very much for giving to what you have. Thank you and God Bless you.
