Wind Energy old tech/ Solar new tech

I have news for you, Wind Energy for electric power has been around for over 70 years, and very affordable, when compared to the cost of an SUV. SOLAR POWER is now affordable compared to 20 years ago. To let you know, my Dad, who now is 91 years old, and when he was a teenager on the farm in Kentucky, he told me that the rich farmers had Jackobson Wind Generators to produce electric.
Just recently the cost of oil went down, why? because more people are not driving as much. Now! emagine what would happen if we all sent a message to BIG OIL and tried to drive less often. Stop spending your money on things you don't have to have like we did in the past, SUV's etc. Screw the oil companies, save and buy natural energy applications for your future. Waiting for your politicians to take care of you, does not work anymore. Get educated on what's out there, and protect your future!
On the poilticians, look what they have done to us already! Big business is in thier pockets. Open your eyes, it's as plain as the nose on your face. If you think they care about us little guys, you've got a problem. We have been dilluding ourselves to think everything will be OK. I don't know about you, but I'm MAD MAD MAD!! Oh! by the way Mr Bush and Mr Cheney have screwed us all!
Sorry if I sound so angry, buy if you think about it, I have a right to be, don't you think?
Remember, what is it going to be like for our children! Your government has let you DOWN BIG TIME!

One invention that has not been around is the Solar Windmill. It is one truly new way to convert both wind and solar energy to electricity, and it has many advantages over either separately.

Besides conservation that James mentions, another viable system for home owners is the solar water heater. Better payback than wind or PV which for residential cost more than the grid taking into account subsidies.

Saving energy is almost always cheaper than making it.

You can heat and cool your whole home using solar thermal. It costs up front, which is usually the deal stopper. Look at CNG conversions, whether is costs $10k or $5k that still is a chunk of money. Everyone wants to know the price of things and then they walk away. If is not a new car, swimming pool nor trip abroad, it does not increase their status nor sense of self importance.

The point is solar water heaters cost about 1/3 as much per watt as solar PV. The media and Gore and company have convinced the public that Poly-sil PV is viable and there is a conspiracy that it isn't used more often. Truthfully, most people are better off without Poly-sil PV and yet they would benefit from solar hot water up to their usage.

I agree we are in trouble and have MR. Bush the oil man with Cheney to thank for all of this. Will there families suffer financially in the future Hell no!

It is all of the middle class and poor that will be and are sufferring now.

I agree that wind is one of the best and easiest ways to replace some of the oil issues. If we can power our homes with wind or solar we wouldn't need all the oil. But wait, what will happen to the utility companies will they not loose in all of this? They are not going to like this and fight back.

I say screw all of them lets take back our freedoms in this country to do what is in the best interest of the individual families. Let's make something that is so wrong right once and for all.
