I read the CNN interveiw about House Speaker Pelosi's comment on President Bush's performance. I agree he has been bad for our country but why should he shoulder the blame by himself. He is the President but he could not put us in this state without the help of his adminstration, the Congress, the Senate and the Judicial branch. I think we should consider that even we as voters should shoulder some of the blame because we put these people in office who had their own agenda and we should have had the fix voting reveiwed and asked more quesions about their earmark bills. We all let so much go far and get so very bad. I reflect on this often and I find it very hard to look at the children who will have to inherit this land.

I am 65 and have only voted "for" two presidents and one lost. Elections are about citizens making the best choice just like at the supermarket selecting grapes without tasting them , sometimes you get home with sour grapes.

Ok how about demanding something be done about Exxon. Exxon is our real leader. I am just boiling over the fact today Exxon made a record high but was not pleased because they expected to better than that. That is nerve.

I nominate Lex Luthor for President of these United States of America! Do I hear a second to that motion? (resisting any Superman jokes...........................)

As soon as I get away from here and reading the posts from all you fine people I'm going to be calling, emailing or writing my Congress persons. Maybe all three. I no longer work in the public but what would happen to all of you who do if you left work before you finished a very important job? Or what if you decided you needed to take your vacation before something vital was completed? Yup...I didn't figure employment had changed that much ....you'd get fired. That has a nice ring to it. Oh...but wait! Won't that add to the unemployment rate? I'm sorry...I forgot about Pelosi's book. She's got something to fall back on.

As the president spoke, a coalition of bipartisan House members unveiled an energy bill that they say can pass Congress before it adjourns for the year.

I wonder what that bill looks like? Isn't there somewhere a body can go to actually read a bill? Anyone know how to get there? I think I would like to read that and see what they are wanting. Just because it's bipartisan and they think it can pass doesn't mean we, The American Public, will like it or it will be advantageous to us.

Lex, I apologize if any of my last posts are hard to follow. I have a bad habit of being long winded. Something I'm working on with moderate success...sometimes. Since I enjoy your points of view, I will hereby promise to be more concise and clear...just for you!

If you have other useful information to add: web sites, form letters, suggestions; please feel free to add on.

I did this so newcomers won't have such a hard time finding information: keep it in a centralized location.

Thanks for your prompting Lock! :-D

Welcome to energy and tax freedom fighters. If we all keep the heat on the elected officials city, county, state, and federal, the political landscape will change. People must ask them to do what is right for the longterm health of America and it's economy; not giving money to bail out the poor, the working class the banks, the lenders, the investment bankers, next will be the auto makers.

If we will just make "ENERGY PRODUCTION FORM ALL SOURCES IN ALL PLACES", millions of jobs will be created and high paying factory jobs. The leadership must be herded to the Energy Act to do this in 10-20 years. Not only can America do it, America must do it.

Keep up the good effort.

TBP

Is around 80 and if he spent a million a day he would probably not out live his money. He is trying to lead the ignorant masses from the economic collapse that will occur if we do not make our own energy.
