House Speaker Pelosi calls Bush 'a total failure'

I read the CNN interveiw about House Speaker Pelosi's comment on President Bush's performance. I agree he has been bad for our country but why should he shoulder the blame by himself. He is the President but he could not put us in this state without the help of his adminstration, the Congress, the Senate and the Judicial branch. I think we should consider that even we as voters should shoulder some of the blame because we put these people in office who had their own agenda and we should have had the fix voting reveiwed and asked more quesions about their earmark bills. We all let so much go far and get so very bad. I reflect on this often and I find it very hard to look at the children who will have to inherit this land.

Permalink Reply by Jon Morrison on October 19, 2008 at 1:59pm: I was helping take care of the fleet of FEMA trucks taking care of New Orleans, the truth of the matter is they were loaded, running and waiting to go to N.O. when the storm cleared, FEMA had called the governors office for 3 days asking for permission to send protection for the trucks--the governor refused to take the calls. Also my son and son in law were in the only unit activated {200 members} before the hurricane and were actually in the dome when the storm his--this was La527th, they begged the governor for help---their pleas fell on deft ears as the governor refused to send help. Also you should know that we they governor testified before congress she took some guardsmen to testify on her behalf---this unit was in Iraq when the hurricanes hit. My point is simple if you want to blame Bush for want happened in N.O you should know what your talking about 1st. Congress covered up the truth of what happened and the LA527 has a life long gag order on them imposed by the former governor. These are facts you'll never find on line.; ▶ Reply to This

You might want to look at how the governments labor force of 1999 & 2000 because it decline thus eliminating the deficit. In 1999 and 2000 the Government had a surplus of $250,000,000. This was the first time there was no need of a tax increase which is good, you agree?

Now we are at a 5 Trillion deficit which is bad, you agree?

Now let's together downsize Government again, force them to get off of their butts and use the computer to optimize their decision, so we can go home.

Take a look at that Black Mayor in Arkansa that has cut the work day to 4 days a week 10 hours a day, thats good, you agree?

When you get a chance Look at the City of Las Cruces, NM. My farther was a civil engineer and he built this massive levy some 30 years ago and people gave him a lot of flack about how it was an Eye Sore.

Ask them today about the heavy rain that is being stop from that levy.

Sometimes minority elected official have a tendency to be cheap when it comes to spending Government money and they realy do try to look out for the people so that an increase in taxes are not needed. I learned from my dad that if you can find something at 50 cents on a dollar and its the real McCoy, Buy It !!!

Don't Buy what I am saying, Buy the Real McCoy. I hope you understand.

Did you read the book "Locked in the Cabinet" by RObert Reich, one of Clintons best advisors in the first two years of his administration? Thin book, heavy with insights and explanations and humor.

I am however in the middle of the book by Barack called the "Audacity of Hope" and I can not get the thought out of my mind when he first ran for the Senate office of Illinois. First he was in a parade dead last marching for his campaign and he had to keep up it front of the Street Sweepers in order to not get wet.

To me when people are humble in anything they do I have alot of respect for them even if they make a mistake, especially if they acknowledge that it was their mistake and not someone elses. The first thing I want to see from the next president is a coming together of All Senators and Congressional Representatives. Next, the Group needs to layout what is in the best intrest of all americans.

According to the Scriptures you are supposed give first and then you will receive.

LET'S GIVE OUR BEST TO OUR NEIGHBOR AND THIS OIL CRISIS WILL FIX ITSELF, with Boone Pickens help.

I noticed you mentioned the phrase (The real McCoy).

We in Michigan are the home of Mr McCoy.

He lived in Ypsilanty and invented an oiler that revolutionized the manufacturing industry.

many people tried to copy this oiler,but none could measure up to its quality or performance.

when this item was purchaced they would always ask for the real McCoy.
This was where the term came from.

Oh yes I should mention Mr. McCoy was black.

I learned about him from Mr Louis Latimers' Grand Daughter. He was black and really invented the lightbulb in the Edison labortory. I was fascinated by Mr Garrett as well.
