If you have an Idea
Intellectual Property Rights do not apply to Inventions. Only a Patent or Provisional Patent can protect your rights. If you have an Idea DO NOT TELL ANYONE!
A Non-Disclosure agreement can be used to show interested parties what you have, if you do not have patent protection.

You can go to the SBA for help.
{ I would not be where I am without the SBA's help.}

Here is a link to the US Patents Office. http://www.uspto.gov/ {You can search patents to see if anyone has a patent on your Idea)

OK, we are here for a reason!
1. words, lyrics, poems, thoughts, ect. are Intellectual Property - so that diatribe has no place in this forum.

2. inventions are not intellectual property, and must be Patented, by the laws and traditions that made this country great. utility and plant patents are granted for a term which begins with the date of the grant and usually ends 20 years from the date you first applied for the patent subject to the payment of appropriate maintenance fees. Design patents last 14 years from the date you are granted the patent. Note: Patents in force on June 8 and patents issued thereafter on applications filed prior to June 8, 1995 automatically have a term that is the greater of the twenty year term discussed above or seventeen years from the patent grant.

So, you say to the inventor's out there not researching, but building things in the search of Fusion, Water Electrolysis, better batteries, or motors. (I am doing all these.)
They should risk their lives, spend their own money and time, for no compensation.
Who would do that, would YOU. (If so I have work for you to do, just joking)
I know there are alot of regular people (not academia) who are looking for fusion.
They expose themselve's to radiation, knowing its killing them slowly, but do it anyway.
Pure science is very dangerous, its not easy doing the unknown, and until you try it, you have never been truly frustrated.

I applaude all the people who are doing real work here, and everywhere, Bravo!
I have seen alot, most of what has been posted, and bite my tongue alot too.
Nothing will get done without people willing to take the risks for the rest of us.

So, find fusion. Then come tell me, you will give it away.

A true leader leads by example, he/she would not ask anyone to do something they would not do themselves.

I'm not working on fusion, nor claiming to be a leader, but I DO put my money where my mouth is, and DO take on a considerable amount of work without monitary reward. (And I, like you, believe in leadership by example.)
So while I appreciate your position, (And I think most folks would agree with YOU)
I stand by my post.
That said, I'll shut up now.
PEACE

Nicely said, thank you. Peace

Once upon a time scientist gathered and had groups, talking openly on what they were working on. This made most of the achievments we have today.
But now Greed, antipath, no central repository of knowledge, slows progress.
We are stagnating, one man might find a solution, were many together can do far more. Scientific isolationism is the real problem.

If a patent falls into the public domain, do non value added lawyer's get any money when the invention is brought to market? Stanley Meyer's problem was that he did not seek national security interest secrecy protective provisions while securing his water power patents. He must have had been guided by bad legal advice. Forcing him to publicize his invention only alerted and empowered those were opposed to it getting to the light of day.
Greed kills people every day, but somehow there is no end to the supply of obstructive lawyers.

Bravo Joe.
Its very hard to get anything done.
If only he had gone to a good SBA guy. Bill Gregory, Enid Ok SBA, is the only reason I am here. Also for those who dont know, Stan Meyers was poisoned to death.
Makes me feel real secure, opening my mouth here. not!

Hello readers,
The Pickens Plan website would be a lot more productive if more people used the discussion Push The Plan: Cut & Paste Ideas (or something similar put up by National headquarters) where they should be able to find a selection of Sample letters to Congressmen, sample personal Invites, etc. That is IF they could locate it among the 2,700+ different Discussions floating around out there!

Active members have to be encouraged to post their Sample letters somewhere so that others have easy and user friendly access to them. Could I get some of you to post your letters on the Push The Plan: Cut & Paste Ideas discussion area? So far it is only lonely me and one other contributor's letter. We need a MUCH larger selection of ideas to choose from. Please CONTRIBUTE something and I will make sure it is included in the list where it will stay always in the top section. In other words, Reply to the Discussion titled Push The Plan: Cut & Paste Ideas and I'll paste your sample letter in near the top where it will remain. Your cooperation will benefit everybody. Thank you, Phil

p.s. Does anyone know of an easy way to provide a link to a particular Discussion?

James is ignorant and even sent me a message that people are hounding to have him removed cause he became a bum to get money to be on the Internet. Bashful conclusion, chemical analysis not in his agenda accidents are when he deny's the power of a microwave oven patent to include it in his toolbox to offer a plasma microwave that burns up instantly citing some obvious reason for flammable reactions inside a microwave oven which was used in a violation of its patent product rights to exist. He has blocked my messages so I removed him as a friend. Absolutely hazardous scientific processing can be his ultimate happiness. Try Try again James, time takes pleasure 100% to do it right, or your 100% wrong GO TO DELETE YOUR EVERYTHING.

Thank you James. This is an old blog, but has some very good info for the inventors out there. Its funny I blocked charles months ago. I do thank him for reviving this thread. But, we all have a reason for being here.
The internet has really made it possible for inventors, and investors to see each other easier. I am proud to be able to push on that barrier any where I can, and I thank all of you for taking the time to make a difference.
Merry Christmas everyone.
