As my profile says, I'm not a fan of Pickens' politics or political tactics. But I agree with him 100 percent when it comes to energy policy. It's outrageous that we should have to buy a single drop of oil from people who would use the profits against us. I've been arguing the same thing on my blog: www.NewEnergyWatch.com
I remember the first time I saw a wind turbine going down the highway on a flat bed truck. There were three of them. We were all in a long traffic jam on I-10 in LA. on one of those sections over bayous with no exit so I had plenty of time to look them over. I had never seen one up close. I was shocked to see how large they are. They were so sleek and clean. They looked like something for the airline industry but I could tell they were very heavy (the large trucks pulling them was a dead give-away). I want this sight to be come so common over the next 10 years that no one will give them a second thought but I want us to thank God for every one of them that is installed and to do whatever we can to make sure the pace does not slacken until we have completely eliminated the power of big oil to ever threaten the prosperity or security of the United States again.
I have uploaded a file that contacts a list of companies in the US that are now actively converting gas vehicles to natural gas. I hope you will find this informative.
Energy deregulation is one of the keys to unlocking our future... unless we want monopolies controlling us and telling us what we can and cannot do.. Monopolies currently control most of the wealth, power and large majority of information that consumers see...
