IS IT CONSTITUTIONAL TO TAKE SHAREHOLDERS MONEY ?

Mr Obama has a plan to take oil company shareholders (retired teacher, mutual funds, union pension funds, 401K funds) money and give a $ 1,000.00 check of OPM to each family in America.

THIS IS PURE MARXIST/PROGRESSIVE/SOCIALISM.

What do all of you out there think? illegal or just immoral?

We need to up date the questions regarding business income taxes. The Government takes money from the shareholders using taxes. Is it possible that the "BAILOUTS" are just returning the money to the entity they TOOK it from????

The enemy of the small investor is "LEVERAGE" without limits. This works similar to the following example: Borrow billions of Yen from Japan at +< 1% for the short term less than one year, use this to buy mortgages at 7% - 9%, package these loans and sell them keeping a small percentage of the interst yield, then use the money to buy more mortgages, sell them and keep part of the yield. If you do this enough times you make huge profits. The house of cards comes down when Japan wants their short term money back and wil not renew loans. Loans must be sold to pay them, this starts unwinding the leverage and the mortgage values go down, down and down.

This is where we are now. These are greedy thieves and desirve to fail.

latins cubans hispanics all lean to the right. they came from countries that didn't give them a chance to sucseed. why would they come here and vote on going in the direstion of what drove them here. and we thought they didn't know anything about our way of life. i see them take their kids to the park i see them take advantage of the things we have. [parks, public pools, things provided] and 1/2 of america seems to think the government should afford them these things in their backyard. so if you they want parks pools and what not in their yards that is fine you just have to pay for it., i'ld tell them to get a better job. or work a little harder.

Mexican people tend to be conservative on monetary issues and liberal on social issues. They are very hard working people that DREAM of MAKING a business for themselves. This gives the Conservative tax position a good shot at their votes.

c-span is good at times. but when you bring up getting the masses involved and holding individuals accountable for their politians and the people running these big companies that are losing all your money they will cut you off. they still lean a litttle to the left. it is almost like they want to have to ask for help. scares me we are the people and if we don't voice our opinions they are the rulers. not us

Can I get my 20 bucks from each of you now? I know I should wait for Uncle Sam to give it to me but ITS MY MONEY, AND I NEED IT NOW!

Some drunken Frenchman said it a long time ago - " I THINK THEREFOR I AM" and he made a living debating random thoughts with no particular value to the working class ? Was his time well spent ? Did he contribute to the advancement of his society ?

I suppose that you could use the Dale Carnegie story to provide the answer he was the first billionaire and founded a charitable trust to build libraries around the USA. Taxes were not charged to do this it was his money and he just wanted to help all Americans. Just a thought.

Hey, wait a minute here, don't you walk away yet Lynn (counting on my fingers.............now my toes................) I gave you 50, we called it even on the other 50 with just a piece of paper (IOU LYNN, IOU TY) and then gave me 20 back out of my fifty?
