It seems almost criminal that every roof-top in America doesn't have at least one solar panel on it. Why aren't new homes being built with at least some solar capacity? The cost may be still be high, but the cost could be offset by tax credits.

Heck, solar panels are themselves old school. Roof tiles are now being made that are solar cells. The aggregate effect of every home producing some solar power would be phenomenal.

I agree with Jeff. With the energy crisis we are facing, all homes should be converted to solar. I really don't believe the government cares. These issues are not effecting them like the American citizens making much less income and having to struggle and prioritize in order to survive. Alot of the government officials don't pay for their own transportation anyway. We have all got to get together and do something about it.
Seems like common sense is just about extinct. Our government has not planned for our future. It's just been about the dollar for them and it is now costing us and our children...
Makes sense to me.
It is just that simple......
Every morning I walk out of the door of my home, feel the sun on my face, and see dozens of empty rooftops. During my commute to the office I see thousands of empty rooftops. When I fly I look out the window and see hundreds of thousands of empty rooftops in every large urban area across the country.

I can envision every empty rooftop I see outfitted with thin solar film, or traditional solar panels quietly doing their work, supplying abundant, inexpensive power to a nation unfettered from energy dependence.

If we can dream it, we can do it.

Absolutely!!! Common Sense is a wonderful thing. We need to pull together and demand it. Vote everyone out of office that doesn't support it. Start a new party if need be. The American Party.

Sounds so simple doesn't it. I mean they can change TV's from analog to digital, mandatory seat belts, implement a recycle system, invent alternate fuel cars, etc. Seems like it is the big money oil people that are holding this down.
New homes, Don't have many being built here, Housing slump down 15% in price and dropping.
Most do not have extra money now to add them since the equity is down and banks have tightened.

lets just reduce 30% right off the bat easy, CFG lights work. adjust the therm. Spray foam
turn off what you don't need I saved 30%

save 20% on gas on the highway by slowing down to 55 - 60
that works too.

Seems criminal not do these easy things first.
