That is a good point too. Although I think that we as citizens who own stock in said
companies will have a real say as well.

To not only get fully off of foreign oil but off of fossil fuels altogether, biodiesel is the solution with real potential. See my other forum entries under alternative fuels and at Earth Protect.

It's definitely a solution that we're going to rely heavily on. Since not all biodiesels are created equal, I don't know the best answer to that one yet. I do, however, see that the algae based ones will shine brighter than the cellulosic and especially the corn / soy based ones. I'm also very hopeful on the quite amazing claims of the algae based gasoline forms that have the side effect of cleaning air and water.
