GREED. Oil COMPANY Greed is the MAIN motivation behind the move to allow offshore Drilling again
. When I wrote this in August 2008 oil companies were pushing the idea that ofshore drilling was our only practical solution to the rising price of fuel. Well, it isnt. With Photo VOltaic solar panels on our roofs we can meet Al Gore's challenge and stop using oil to light our homes by 2010. And wind and wave power should be developed as well, on a large scale.
In the interests of shoreline wildlfe and recreational uses of our US beaches, offshore drilling was discontinued years ago. You know that THE GREEDY OIL COMPANIES have hundreds of thousands of acres of exising land leases, but they DON't WANT TO DRILL IN THEIR EXISTING OIL FIELDS. They think that our panic will cause us to pressure our reps to allow offshore drilling, and though they have plenty of places to drill, they will save those for later ....but they want those offshore permissions while they might have the uninformed support of the American public..
What can you do? Pressure your senators and congressmen at every level to start making it easier for individuals and solar installation companies to operate. Nuclear never had to play on a level playing field, every single plant in the US (and all the other countries) was MASSIVELY SUBSIDIZED by the government. When the government subsidies dried up, so did the interest in building them. And it didnt help when no one could agree on which Nevada dumping site we were going to put all the waste in....especially Nevada. If you are too young to remember, I suggest you go look up the history on this. Or just look up---sun power and wind power are free! No one can corner the market. Halliburton and D*** Cheney do not profit from solar and wind and wave power. AND THAT children, is why clean energy sources have been SOOOOO neglected for SOOOOO long.
Okay, gas prices are down somewhat, but in Hawaii in April 2009 we are still paying $2.59 a gallon. And the BAD thing about lower prices at the pump is that there is less pressure to harvest wind and solar energy. DOn't people realize that oil prices will rise again, and it is still the Middle East nations who are profitting. But arabs cannot corner the market in solar or wind, so why wait. Let's get ourselves refitted and thumb our noses at OPEC.. Let's put solar panels on all flat roofed government buildings, using the stimulous funds to hire people at reasonable wages to install them. And Amtrak, those flat roofed rail cars are a PERFECT place to put solar panels. Moving solar panels collect energy from the sun too, except when going through a tunnel or a rainstorm, so just think, without the expense of big batteries the train pwoers itself! Pass the word. Pressure your congressman. Elect liberal female senators!

THe shrill call of "Drill Drill Drill" is now being heard across the country as McCain wraps himself in Sara Palin's skirts and claims the CHANGE chant as his own.
In what way is it a change to divest ourselves at last of the dangerous and inept and warmongering BUSH CHENEY regime only to replace it with Bush's MAIN UNDERASTUDY, McCain, who has voted FOR EVERYTHING BUSH WANTED FOR THE PAST * 8 YEARS? CHange? Hey, we need regime change in the US on a BIG Scale, and no matter if you have a beauty queen runner up running along side the dude or not, McCain is McBUSH, and nothing he says can change that. Actually she wasn't a beauty queen runner-up. The real runner-up from her hometown contested this yesterday. Ms congeniality? The Alaskan political landscape is littered with the corpses of those who opposed her, or even didn't support her with enough enthusiasm. Ms. Palin is developing quite a repertoire of lies, trivial or otherwise. If she ever faces the press we might get some answers. But cheer up. If she's elected we will be safe from moose attack.

ALL enemies - foreign AND DOMESTIC. Slightly off-topic, however nonetheless PERFECTLY RELEVANT.
I recently came across a cnn.com article (http://money.cnn.com/2007/04/05/news/companies/ford_execpay/) from April, 2007, RE: the president and CEO of Ford Motor Company - Alan Mulally - and the cool $28 MILLION he "made" (stole) in the first four-or-so months that he was so FORTUNATE to be in this position.
And yet now, he is part of a Detroit contingent/cold machine (the "Big Three") that are lobbying (begging/stealing) a do-nothing-correctly-congress (OUR "reps") for yet another $50 BILLION of OUR money. Why are these types of "people" (rather, SON'S OF B****** - ALL of `em ... EVER LAST SINGLE ONE!!!) not being shown an "option" - a la UNABOMBER?? This - a violent working-class uprising - is the ONLY way this country will ever be righted again, and restored to its original, post 1776, and post 1865 course, of decency, justice, and equality.
North America was TAKEN by hostile means in the early 1600's, and that is EXACTLY where it will return - based on our present course. It's a simple matter of time.
"THE People" are (RAPIDLY) growing completely sick (many - LITERALLY) of the constant and on-going greed and corruption by these vile, blood-sucking maggots (the vast majority of politicians included).
Whether its 100 years from now, or 100 weeks from now, this "Civil" War - II (or as I like to think of it; "The War of Political-Washington's Wanton-Disregard and [somewhat subtle - so far, for now] Aggression") in the United States physically manifests itself - it WILL OCCUR, based-on current conditions. The timing is the ONLY question. Buckle-up folks - or, at least make sure your children, and your grand-children are buckled. Our domestic enemies are BEGGING for it.

These maggot-like REPTILES (and there is no other word for them), "pay" (or as they like to call it - "reward" them-SELVES - and as WE MUST NOW CALL IT - STEAL) EXTREMELY well (above and beyond what is just, fair, decent, and "Right") - then they fire and lay-off TENS of THOUSANDS of honest, hard-working, salt-of-the-earth Americans (your family, friends and neighbors ... people JUST LIKE YOU AND ME, gang), they then OUT-SOURCE jobs overseas (often times to OTHER animals (who can't control their own system, so they take advantage of ours ... systems to which we ALREADY GIVE BILLIONS to) - animals that would KILL US ALL IN A BLINK GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY) ALL in the name of "Capitalism" - all for their own SELFISH DESPICABLE profit (read: G-R-E-E-D!) - and then they have the unmitigated gall and cold nerve to come begging for MORE from the American taxpayer. REMINDER: One of them (CHRYSLER) just did this 25 years ago!!!
I'd say we are ALREADY at WAR - one that has been declared ON US! Don't get me started on "Freddie" & "Fannie".

It is a large (and seemingly ever-growing) gang of thugs in Washington, and on Wall Street, and in places like Detroit - CERTAIN capitalists, who are capitalizing on OUR IN-action, OUR laziness and complacency - figuring we're "comfortable enough" with our PC's and our color TV's, etc., etc., etc. - and they are RAPING US - OUR CHILDREN - AND GENERATIONS BEYOND. She is a royal flip flopper though-------several news agencies have investigated and found tapes of her talking tough about KEEPING the dough for the bridge to nowhere. And at first she was FOR the bridge itself, but then she spent the money else where in ALaska. She didnt giv it back to the Fed. But you can see her claiming that in speeches she has made since the convention. I look forward to an interview of her without teleprompter answers.

There is apparently a new bill ibn congress for some off shore drilling. I opose it, but then SO DO THE REPUBLICANS. AWhy? because some of th proceeds of the slae of this pil will subsidize wind and solar energy projects. WHOA! What a terrible thing to do---to use p9 profits to dig ourselves out of the permanent oil well h*** we are in right now.
Remedy? VOTE DEMOCRATIC AT EVERY LEVEL. We have to get rid of these idiots. In case you havent noticed, Sarah Palin is just another Dan Quale with big hair. It's worse than that. Since the end of the second world war, this country has given billion of dollars to other countries around the world in order to stabilize them and help in their re-building and growth. Much of that money has lined the pockets of the ruling class and made the US enemies of the poor people of the world. When they get fed up and some smart talking revolutionary wants to change things, America gets labeled as the great Satan and becomes the target for world wide hatred.
Maybe we should take those billions we keep sending around the world and start re-building our country.
Just a thought.
