ONE FIX FOR THIS OIL GUSSHER ADD YOURS

THEY ARE STILL TRYING TO CAP IT WHEN THEY NEED TO STOP IT IN ITS TRACKS

You forgot SJC, who tried to be helpful also.  Come to think of it, we were the only 3 that even dignified your posts in this thread with a reply.  There's a message in there somewhere for you, but I doubt you'll get it.

I believe it is good to be helpful. Getting trucks on natural gas makes lots of sense, I think most of us know that. Actually getting those trucks on natural gas seems to be the hard part. There have been lots of posts about a lot of issues on this site, but not much coordinated effort on reaching that goal.

DubleDeuce “CNG is the FASTEST, SUREST, most EFFECTIVE way to get the demand for crude oil down quickly. This demand drop will accelerate the fall of crude oil prices in the world and this will combined to reduce our continued reliance on crude oil as we go forward "looking for fuel nirvana". Buat this present time there is no magical pathway to instant energy. That has been proven.  

 

Finally we are getting to the real issue here. As we transition away from oil natural gas will fill the void. This I totally agree with but alas natural gas is finite too. And let’s not forget this simple fact.

Maybe it is a matter of semantics but your comment "As we transition away from oil natural gas will fill the void" is bassackards. We will NOT transition away from oil so mush as we will transition towards natural gas. The wording is important. In the face of increased natural gas consumption, crude oil consumption will stay flat in this country due to economic growth. It is the prospect of increased demand or diminished supply for crude that fuels the boogeyman speculator. Once the pricing has been stabilized by the specter of the American consumption going flat,(currently at 25% of world production) the rest of the word market (INCLUDING CHINA) for petroleum will not grow fast enough to offset the lower American consumption rate. Without the "come" of increased demand the speculator will move to another commodity with more volatility.

 

BTW, the selection of ANY energy source based on its inevitable finite quality is a non-sequiter. Even the lowly and ubiquitous hydrogen atom has a certain capacity for being finite. Would you scorn its eventual adoption because of that specious fact?

The Bloom Box is a lower cost SOFC that can use natural gas as a fuel.

Google and others use them and they provide a more reliable power supply.

This seems like a great plan , BUT are their any guarantees that the oil companies will maintain low prices when people invest in your product? As we all know the gas companies do not care about any thing but record profits .
Don't endorse the Pickins plan unless it contains some kind of price cap or a corporation commission type of oversight wherein they need to ask  panel for price increases!

Sorry, been there, done that. Dint get no T-Shirt. Can you say Nixion, 1972, and Price controls?

How 'bout you startin' up a lemonade stand and right off the bat I tell you that you can only make SOOO much profit. After that, you must give the rest to the guvmint'. Would yo go for that? If so, you need to get on a plane to Mother Russia.

Oh! And BTW, in REAL life there are NO guarantees or Mulligans. Just a fast slide down a sandpaper covered railing with no underwear.
