There's a great documentary showing right now at the Austin Film Fest - it played last week too and it is SO good. If you need a little pick me up or want to convert some friends to the cause, I definitely suggest going to see it tonight.

It mainly focuses on the inside story of our addiction to oil and touches on some really shocking history of economic manipulation using oil.

I thought my environmentally conscious buddies here would find this new GREEN documentary fascinating. It's called HOUSTON WE HAVE A PROBLEM. In a nutshell, the film gives a very informative look at our energy crisis: our dependence on oil that has shackled our nation's politics and economy. As opposed to taking sides, the documentary suggests that democrats and republicans MUST work together to solve the crisis. In fact, contrary to thought, it stresses that even major Barons, Wildcatters, CEO's and Roughnecks in Houston admit that they need to cooperate and focus on a greener energy movement. Overall, the film is extremely progressive in style and content. The film's upbeat and engaging editing harmoniously meshes with its original NON-partisan clean energy stance. LOOKING TOWARDS THE FUTURE UNITED AS A NATION is this documentary's message. Check it out. I have provided the link below. It's great. Let me know what you think.
