What comes first the NG fill up stations or the car? The old Chicken first or the Egg

I believe in NG for multiple reasons which is already expressed in this site. Here's the dilema. If I were to buy a NG car, there is no where to fuel up. You can't do one without the other. Build a NG filling station for our fleet of 145 heavy duty trucks it would cost several hundred thousand dollars before pumping the first gallon. There is still not enough incentive to build it. If the driver ran out of fuel he would have to be towed back to the yard.

We have to somehow incentivize the US Gov't to convince/mandate that oil companies set a hard date in the not to distant future to provide the US consumer with choices at local fuel stations. Choices have to include NG, ethanol, biodiesel and gasoline. Without these choices at the pump there is little chance of the USA becoming energy independent. In some respects we could begin to follow or adapt to the Brazilian model and begin to drill for more NG and oil within our borders, import less middle eastern oil and slowly ween ourselves off this addiction.

The best solution is to invest in a $5,000 cng pump. You need a good cng mechanic too though. Check out cngchat.com for more info.

Natural gas is the future of energy. It is replacing dirty and dangerous coal and nuclear plants. It is producing the electricity for electric cars. It will directly fuel pickup trucks, vans, buses, long haul trucks, dump trucks, locomotives, aircraft, ships etc. It will keep us out of more useless wars, where we shed our blood and money.  Here are over 150 recent links for  you: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1NbaKYme3bqOw0b6KMxXSjOLHLNeflalPy9gIAiTYFMQ/edit

Phill may be your answer.  Phill is a Nat Gas home refueling station.  It is slow.  Usually takes all night, but it does not require heavy wiring like the big electric compressors do.  I am looking at some farm compressors.  They use Nat Gas internal combustion engines.  They are much faster, 1 - 2hours for a 20gal tank.  They are too noisy if your neighbor is less than 100 feet away.

Universal Air Products of Virginia makes a Vehicle refueling station #UR40E-10.  It runs on single phase house current.  This is another solution to home refueling for multiple vehicles.
