winds farms, pickins pulls out, no transmission lines
A year ago I found the US govt report on electric grid.
not too good of a grid, not more capacity, congested.
again forget the hype of wind, solar- if you can not transmit the energy it will be a wast e of time.
do the easy thing first, do an energy audit, replace outdated appliances that eat energy,
use CFG lights. Just the basics will save each family 30%.
so pickens has shelved his wind farm??? go figure.
but if cap and trade passes energy cost will rise and once it gets high enough on coal, then the switch will be on.

I am a PEPCO customer and hope they can get approval. But there is lots of money pushing opinion these days. That is why we may have to look at solar and win at the home. Not so efficient, but it does work without any transmission lines. Or community wind farms and solar farms that use only local [power lines. Got to be a way to beat the Luddites.
