A significant cost of converting to a CNG car is the cost of the home refueling station.
A $2,000 unit on a 20 year remaining loan payout at 6% interest, the monthly payment would only be increased $15 per month.
Is it possible to pursue a loan modificaton to a home mortgage (where there is sufficient equity) to roll this cost into the monthly payment?
In most cases, the lower interest realized from a typical "REFI" would offset the cost of the payment increase. But, there are also other fees associated with the REFI, as it is not a "free" transaction.
