IT SEEMS SIMPLE TO ME: WE JUST ALL GET HONDA/TOYOTAL NATURAL GAS-BURNING VEHICLES AND BUY A BACK YARD COMPRESSOR AND OFF WE GO!! WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO TALK THE GUV INTO MAKING INCENTIVES FOR THE AVERAGE GUY TO GET A TAX BREAK FOR THE VEHICLE AND FOR THE COMPRESSOR: TOTAL INVESTMENT (BEYOND BUYING A REGULAR CAR) $10,000!!! THEY ARE DOING IN IN CALIFORNIA--WHY NOT HERE?

Thats why sending the message to our legislators is so important. In Arizona, they don't think we want it or need it, they aren't hearing enough demand from the constituents. After the back lash from the real generous incentives in 2000, they aren't going to touch it unless there is a real demand. WE have to voice the demand. WE have to prove to them we want it.
Thats why we need everyone to speak up, we need high numbers of support to sway their opinion, thats why recruiting to the plan is so critical. They won't help unless the numbers tell them to.
Common sense does not bear anything on it, the numbers and demand do for someone who equates votes to actions in each district.
We need the numbers, we need the demand, and we need to make sure our representatives know about it.
Everyones help counts and the more we get, the quicker it will happen.
They count the letters on each subject, they watch the letters in the papers, they may not personally read them, but they are keeping a tally of what we are interested in and what has the most public support.
We have to create a ground swell of support to get change, thats where the energy army comes in!
Write your paper, write your state leaders, write your national leaders and get more people involved in the plan!
Thats how we make it happen! They need to hear these ideas from all of us.
Thanks for starting this discussion Robert!

With promotion of more natural gas vehicles, you will have more people that see the opportunity to build public natural gas stations. Pat, you are right, there are many subdivisions that don't have natural gas available. If enough people request it, the gas company will put in a line. But for now its going to need to be a mix of public and private fueling.
Fueling at home is the cheapest way. In other countries it is not unusual to have CNG and propane available at the regular gas stations. In the USA, we are lucky to have one of the best natural gas infrastructures in the world, which lends itself to easily facilitate home natural gas fueling in mass, but not for everyone, and our public CNG station count is one of the lowest per capita in the world. Thats why we want to change it!! We have a record amount of natural gas, but we're sure not utilizing it like the rest of the world is. Thats where we need to educate, educate and educate everyone we can!
Thats why each of us needs to tell everyone we can about it! It will happen when the light comes on for enough people.

We can all use Natural Gas, there are now low cost kits avaliable, tanks can be purchased usually for under $1500, and home filling stations are avaliable again. CNG is moving forward, Jim
