Mike and Bob,

I extend a big hello to both of you. One of the things I like most about the Pickens Plan is that we are a non-partisan organization. Whether you're a Republican, Democrat, Green Party member, Libertarian, Independent, or whatever, we're all here together for the common goal of energy independence.

Let's keep our eye on the prize and get our members of Congress to commit to the stimulus package. This is the first step in making the Pickens Plan become reality.

Thanks again to both of you for your passion and commitment.

Cheers,

Micah Lauer
Regional Leader

BOB, I for one don't see any reason to "Drill baby Drill" With a surplus of oil and big oil trying to close down refineries just to give the impression of a shortage and to raise prices. Also interesting when the price of a barrel went up gas prices went up but now that the price of a barrel dropped like a rock gas prices only dropped a small amount. Gas prices should be .99 cents a gallon. However, there now going back up.

Alternative fuels are what the Democrats have been pushing all along. It's big oil and there billions that have been able to hold us all back and cause our auto makers to go under while Toyota has been making money on the hybrid Prius.

How much longer is the Republican party going to keep supporting big oil and the "Drill baby Drill" theory. Oil is now so old.

If your saying your all for Wind and solar and natural gas then I am on your side. If I didn't know any better you just made democrats sound like Republicans.

You can tell I'm a rock solid Democrat always have been and proud of it and I don't like the idea of drilling even in the frozen tundra.of Alaska. Change now has to happen, We have no choice, We painted ourselves into a corner with big oil.

Anyway, I say enough is enough and I do support Pickens and believe it or not I dont want the Republican, Democrat thing to get in the way. However, some of your comments put me on the defense.

Let's both work on the future of our kids and support the Pickens plan.

Great, I was about to go on a mad search for the addresses. That's perfect. You left three addresses. I'll write a letter and send it to all three. Thanks so much for the information.

MIKE.

We're finally here! The new Administration and Congress have been sworn in. Legislation is perking up everywhere. We will soon have legislation promoting the Pickens Plan. We have been working the past seven months for this - the next 100 days!

We need everyone's help.

If you haven't already, please host a meeting among the District group to see how your district can keep moving the Pickens Army forward.

Please continue to recruit new Members. Members have found success (and new acquaintances) by setting up a table in front of a store such as Wal-Mart or at a local park.

Write an op-ed or letter-to-the-editor to your hometown newspaper. Send that op-ed or letter to ALL the papers in your district.

Send a note to your Member of Congress that you want them to support the Pickens Plan when it becomes legislation.

And please report what you have done. A weekly report gets sent to Boone with figures such as how many op-eds and letters to the editor have been submitted, published, meetings held, etc. He follows our district activities every week.
