We're finally here! The new Administration and Congress have been sworn in. Legislation is perking up everywhere. We will soon have legislation promoting the Pickens Plan. We have been working the past seven months for this - the next 100 days!

We need everyone's help.

Please keep moving the Pickens Army forward.

Please continue to recruit new Members. Members have found success (and new acquaintances) by setting up a table in front of a store such as Wal-Mart or at a local park.

Write an op-ed or letter-to-the-editor to your hometown newspaper. Send that op-ed or letter to ALL the papers in your district.

Send a note to your Member of Congress that you want them to support the Pickens Plan when it becomes legislation.

And please report what you have done. A weekly report gets sent to Boone with figures such as how many op-eds and letters to the editor have been submitted, published, meetings held, etc. He follows our district activities every week.

Thanks Dave for organizing. A weekly meeting sounds great. 50 recruits each equals about 5 a day before inauguration. VERY DOABLE. Thanks to all of you for your efforts.

Hey everyone,

Couple of things;

1. It was nice meeting with Brittany, Nick, Polly and Mick for a quick dinner and kick-off meeting. We decided that at this time the best way to support the Pickens Plan is to hit our 500 new recruits by the inauguaration. Given that we have about 12 people in our group that comes down to about 50 each. We also decided that I will have a standing 6:30 meeting every Tuesday at the Laguna Beach Hennessey's (I will also add that the person signing up the most new recruits for that week will get a free dinner). As you sign up your recruits make sure they join district group 48 (even if they are from a different district).

2. I stopped by Congressman Campbell’s district office this afternoon on the small chance that he might meet with us during his next recess. I met with his district director Lou Penrose to get a feel on where the Congressman stood on the Picken’s Plan. I was told the Congressman does not sign pledges and the only action he will take would be relative to any pending legislation and until that time he was not interested in meeting with us. I think Congressman Campbell might be one of the last to sign on, so I think it is important that we keep the Pickens Plan highly visible.
