Hugh, I hear you on the lack of time. Barbara FL-20 is Debbie Wasserman Schultz' district including the Weston area. T Boone is coming to town on February 17th at 9am at Nova, let me know if you can make it. Also, Clean Cities is having its monthly meeting on February 13th at 10am. All are welcome. To be honest this site is great but we can't sit back and make TBP do all the work. We are busy trying to get CNG vehicles in to Florida. With gas prices back to $2 a gallon a large part of this country has taken a wait and see approach. Another part is the "what about me" group looking for a handout. We are spending our time doing the groundwork, creating the support, developing the technology and securing the money to get this movement going. Obama and Emanuel were pushing CNG until they got into the White House, now he has bigger things to do, GITMO and the bailout for instance but he has shown that he recognizes the situation and T Boone has made him aware. If you have an interest in driving a CNG vehicle the cost of fuel is now less than $1. Let us know ....www.wisegasinc.com

I hardly have time to read the emails, but I would be willing to make time to help. I live in Weston. Is there anyone else in this general area?

Mayor Manny Diaz of Miami has publicly come out and endorsed The Pickens Plan. Now we need to work on Broward County....
Jeff Greene Comment by Jeff Greene on January 22, 2009 at 2:58pm
Sorry for the delay, I finally found the group....lol....I will be inviting more to attend. As a point of reference we have met with Mayor Stacy Ritter, Commissioner Gimenez in Miami and numerous members in Tallahassee. You can call our office at Wise Gas, Inc at 954-636-4291 or email through the website at www.wisegasinc.com and we will get things moving. I have recently started working with the Clean Cities Coalition too. You will see many things from that soon. Again, sorry for the delay in getting things moving, we have been so busy I haven't had time to blog....

This is crazy. We must free ourselves from our addiction to foreign oil. Boone is right, when the price goes down at the pump, Americans lose interest. We are all so busy keeping up with our personal and professional lives that other issues move higher up on our priority list. We must continue the fight until the USA is energy self-sufficient. We must thing long term. We must keep national security uppermost in our minds.

We have the plan thanks to Boone. What can we be doing (besides continuing to grow the army) to make things happen and start getting the plan implemented?

Hi Amy, you can use our Action Center to contact Rep. Wasserman Schultz if you wish.

And here is the Congresswoman's office contact information from her official website. Thanks for being part of our FL-20 District group!

I receive communications from Rep Wasserman-Schultz on a regular basis as an active member of her constituency. I know she will be a valuable, helpful member of the Pickens Army...send her an email and please also cc us..I would be willing to sign that letter so she can see how many of her citizens are on board with The Plan. Hopefully we can get things really GOING down here in S Florida. I also recommend contacting Congressman Robert Wexler as well in Florida's 19th District.
