Congressman Aaron Schock does a great service for all of us. He is one of the few politicians that I have faith in. I will definitely thank him. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Congratulations Gang! Congressman Aaron Schock signed the Pickens Pledge yesterday! Way to go!! We need to contact him to tell him Thank you & this would be a great time to reach out to Senators Durbin & Burris. Please let me know if you would like to do so, & we will coordinate a District 18 reach-out. Also, let me know if you have recently spoken with Congressman Schock so we can figure out who brought him on board :). My email is mike.mott@pickensplan.com. Talk to you soon & Good Job!

Hey all.... Boone cancelled the entire wind project he had planned in Texas!!!!
675 Wind Turbines on order, paid for... and they will not be put up!!!! All because of political red tape getting the electicity from the sub station to the grid. We were all counting on this project for work for the rest of the year... what a disappointment.... But, I'm in... as far as getting Illinois green! Lets see what we can do.

From the desk of T. Boone Pickens

Hey Army!
Congress is on its Spring break, but that doesn’t mean they’re out of touch. Most U.S. Senators and Representatives are back in their home states and districts willing to meet with and listen to their constituents.
That’s you!
When they left for their recess legislation had been introduced to promote natural gas; to promote energy efficiency; to promote a 21st century transmission grid; and to promote a national Renewable Energy Standard – in short to promote THE PICKENS PLAN.
In my business career I have seen too many people miss out because they thought that getting close was good enough. You and I know that when you are close, that’s the time to turn up the heat and push the ball over the goal line.
Click here to send your Member of Congress an e-mail - today. Drive over to one of their local offices and chat with a staffer. Click here to coordinate an event with fellow Pickens Plan supporters in your area by joining your District Group.
Let’s keep the pressure on and we’ll win for the Pickens Plan, but more important, we’ll win for America.

The Pickens Plan is organizing a Virtual March on Washington to be held April 1-3, 2009.

So what is a "Virtual March"?

We are going to utilize the size and unique capabilities of the New Energy Army to have an enormous impact on the White House and Congress. The Army will focus its energy during those three days on e-mails, calls and faxes to every Member of Congress.

Between now and then we will be engaging in a series of activities to get ready for the event, including:

* Contacting Members of Congress through email and phone calls to encourage support for key aspects of the Pickens Plan.

* Recruiting new members of the Army in every Congressional District.

* Submitting letters to the editor and op-eds to newspapers around the country.

* Holding district meetings and house parties with members of the Army to discuss ways to have an impact.

* Participating in webcast events.

We will be communicating with members of the Army via email, Push, Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and LinkedIn to build support and enthusiasm for the event. Make sure you are connected to us on any of these platforms where you have a profile!

Be sure to take photos and videos of your activities over the next couple months - we will soon be inviting you to submit items to be featured here on the Virtual March homepage.

Sign up today to participate in the Virtual March and recruit your friends and family to join you!

(If you are interested in visiting your Members of Congress during the virtual march, please contact your Regional and/or District Leader for more information.)

Dee, good call. This administration talked about CHANGE in our energy program from the start.. but if this is the change they have in mind, then We The People need to speak up and let them know that this is totally unacceptable. We need to put money in alternative energy like wind and solar and create jobs in these fields, not over tax gasoline, coal and natural gas. That isn't what Boone Pickens has in mind at all!!!!

I think we need to send our government a message that we do not approve of the "Cap and trade" tax that President Obama is wanting to put on the American people. This is a tax on gasoline, natural gas, and coal and a tax on 85% of the energy that fuels our economy. Higher prices at the gas pump, on home heating and higher electric bills. Why
would anyone in our government pass this when people are losing jobs and this tax will ship more manufacturing jobs overseas. Please call your representatives and senators about this tax. I am in this Pickens Plan to create our own energy here in America and do not support our government taxing what we have. Also watch how this tax is voted upon and vote AGAINST anyone that supports it.

We need to get organized and get people to sign up to support the Pickens Plan. I went canvasing today in my neighborhood and signed up 10 people within 2 hours. If each of us did the same it wouldn't take long and we could increase our membership by leaps and bounds. I will continue to talk to people and make them aware of the Pickens Plan. Nikhil and I met this past week and discussed some options and he is working on a date that a few of us could goto the WalMart on Allen Road and get people signed onto the Pickens Plan. I contacted Congressman Aaron Schock and asked him to officially endorse the Pickens Plan along with all of us. Sofar, I have had no reply back. Lets get together and build our District.
