Being a seasoned logistics and supply chain middle-manager for over 20 years, I see a need to support the Pickens Plan. Currently the LTL and Express shipping industries are trying out Hybrid semi's, hydrogen fueled vans, etc... We have to embrace this emerging market! Break our dependency on foreign oils and support alternative energy!! As the Southwest commercial said recently...It's On !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have contacted Locallt in Crown Point the planning and building commission, working with the mayor, networking with the chamber of commerce, and mailed solar energy roof top proposals to whiting, hammond, gary, laporte, michigan city, portage and still working with others many I have spoken with are busy and the moods are "confused" many people seem to be in their ear about job creation and the stimulus what can we as an army do locally? to get people involved collectivly same message a local forum? William? anyone is their something I can do better? I have in my hands paperwork on how to help them secure the grant's and stimulus completed this will put $250,000 in every city, county, with a population of 35,000 and those that are less will be eligible through the state as they have reserved funds for this. Many of these funds can be help back for loan programs and the like to stimulate best dollar for dollar return when it comes to energy, savings, ect- Natural gas, solar, weatherization?(spelling) colleges locally, schools, universities, these programs will generate power reduce consumption It is exciting on one hand but the costs involved on the other are mind boggling. Moving forward as a country this is the right thing to do payback will come back through power creation and energy savings moving those current expenses into a new direction. I represent new technology that pulls power from the light any light shady, cloudy, rainy exciting www.SolarEnergyRoofTops.com has over 21 kits plug -n play and the peel -n stick technology is being utilized in residential light commercial and golf carts Solar Energy Golf Carts. And we have dealers around the globe we are making a difference in many lives and the pickens plan is as well the tools they have to help us get to our elected officials are great Thank you T Boone for the leadership and to allow me to be apart of a worthy cause personally and professionally

From the desk of T. Boone Pickens

Hey Army!
Congress is on its Spring break, but that doesn’t mean they’re out of touch. Most U.S. Senators and Representatives are back in their home states and districts willing to meet with and listen to their constituents.
That’s you!
When they left for their recess legislation had been introduced to promote natural gas; to promote energy efficiency; to promote a 21st century transmission grid; and to promote a national Renewable Energy Standard – in short to promote THE PICKENS PLAN.
In my business career I have seen too many people miss out because they thought that getting close was good enough. You and I know that when you are close, that’s the time to turn up the heat and push the ball over the goal line.
Click here to send your Member of Congress an e-mail - today. Drive over to one of their local offices and chat with a staffer. Click here to coordinate an event with fellow Pickens Plan supporters in your area by joining your District Group.
Let’s keep the pressure on and we’ll win for the Pickens Plan, but more important, we’ll win for America.

Indiana its time to take action....

It time to contact our Indiana Senators and ask them to support the National Renewable Electricity Standard (RES)

The RES will require electric utilities to generate a certain percentage of their electricity from renewable sources. The current plan is 25 by 25 – electric utilities will have between now and the year 2025 to get the percentage generated from renewable sources to 25 percent.

This is doable. It is economically feasible. It is market-friendly. Utilities can make their own deals.

Today I am asking you to contact your U.S. Senator to make sure they know that the New Energy Army needs their help in getting this national RES enacted into law.

I have pasted the link below to make it a little easier to contact the Senator.

The Pickens Plan is organizing a Virtual March on Washington to be held April 1-3, 2009.

So what is a "Virtual March"?

We are going to utilize the size and unique capabilities of the New Energy Army to have an enormous impact on the White House and Congress. The Army will focus its energy during those three days on e-mails, calls and faxes to every Member of Congress.

Between now and then we will be engaging in a series of activities to get ready for the event, including:

* Contacting Members of Congress through email and phone calls to encourage support for key aspects of the Pickens Plan.

* Recruiting new members of the Army in every Congressional District.

* Submitting letters to the editor and op-eds to newspapers around the country.

* Holding district meetings and house parties with members of the Army to discuss ways to have an impact.

* Participating in webcast events.

We will be communicating with members of the Army via email, Push, Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and LinkedIn to build support and enthusiasm for the event. Make sure you are connected to us on any of these platforms where you have a profile!

Be sure to take photos and videos of your activities over the next couple months - we will soon be inviting you to submit items to be featured here on the Virtual March homepage.

Sign up today to participate in the Virtual March and recruit your friends and family to join you!

(If you are interested in visiting your Members of Congress during the virtual march, please contact your Regional and/or District Leader for more information.)

Greetings,

Alright folks a little bit more positive news. Today I was able to have a sit down with Senator Bayh's office. The meeting lasted about an 45 mins, I was able to delivery the plan and have a good Q&A with his chief aid. Plus, this past weekend I was able to catch feed back from Congressman Visclowsky's town hall meeting. Much of what he said was right in-line with the pickens plan. This is important because he is the Chairman of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Energy and Water Development. His office was the first to extend their hand and allow me to met with them. Our push is making waves, its good to hear that the men who have the power, listening to the people.
