Indie Film “Haynesville” Will Premiere November 23rd On CNBC

“Haynesville” will premiere on Tuesday, November 23rd at 9pm on CNBC. The one hour documentary will repeat that evening at 10pm, 12am and 1am.

The show will also air on:

Sunday, November 28th at 10pm.

“Haynesville”

When the people in rural Northern Louisiana learn they are sitting on a fortune, they struggle to weigh their big dreams against the safety of their community. Some will take the money and run while others learn to negotiate with the big energy companies who are looking to drill into the trillion-dollar natural gas reservoir that lies deep beneath their homes. Will this be easy money or the fight of their lives, in what some are calling the “new gold rush”?

DC is starting to listen! Boone’s latest email and today’s video blog has some great news, but he still needs your help. Please tell your Senators you want them to support the Pickens Plan components of the stimulus package.

There is now a Contact Congress function on the Pickens Plan site specifically for this issue. Go here or to the tabs at the top of this page: “Take Action”, then “Contact Congress” and follow the prompts from there.

We are also encouraging everyone to place calls directly to your Senator’s offices. Here is contact information for Senators Kennedy and Kerry:

Senator Ted Kennedy

We’re tracking Congressional response, so please let us know when you get a reply.

Hello MA-08 -- Time to get to work.

By now you’ve seen Boone's email about the stimulus package scheduled for a vote in the House of Representatives this Wednesday. We need you to make ONE PHONE CALL today to Congressman Michael Capuano’s office in DC (202) 225-5111 or Cambridge (617) 621-6208. We also encourage you to reach out to Senators Kennedy and Kerry.

Here are some talking points to use when you call the Congressman's office:

1. Your constituents support the wind energy elements included in the Stimulus Bill which will build upon 2008's successes in the wind energy sector:
-- Extension of the Production Tax Credit
-- Implementation of a renewable infrastructure loan program

2. We hope you're willing to do more on the natural gas side and provide the incentives that will greatly expand the use of domestic natural gas as a vehicle fuel in America. Expanded use of NGVs (natural gas vehicles) will help wean us off of foreign oil and create new American jobs. These incentives include:
-- Increasing the vehicle tax credit to make natural gas trucks more accessible for heavy and medium duty truck operators
-- Extending the fuel tax credit

3. The Pickens Plan works best as a whole plan - wind and natural gas - and we hope Members of Congress will support that. The Stimulus Bill is a strong start but there's more we can - and should – do.

Once you make your call, leave a comment here and let us know how it went. Or email me directly - judy.depalma@pickensplan.com. And be sure to give me your name and email address so we can make sure you get the 10 MyEnergy points we are awarding for each phone call.

Good luck, and let's go!

Hello Jared and welcome as our new District Leader. I believe each of us can bring in 2 or 3 new members to this group and it will help to grow our numbers. We look forward to having some new members and now, a new District Leader.
