Indie Film “Haynesville” Will Premiere November 23rd On CNBC

“Haynesville” will premiere on Tuesday, November 23rd at 9pm on CNBC. The one hour documentary will repeat that evening at 10pm, 12am and 1am.

The show will also air on:

Sunday, November 28th at 10pm.

“Haynesville”

When the people in rural Northern Louisiana learn they are sitting on a fortune, they struggle to weigh their big dreams against the safety of their community. Some will take the money and run while others learn to negotiate with the big energy companies who are looking to drill into the trillion-dollar natural gas reservoir that lies deep beneath their homes. Will this be easy money or the fight of their lives, in what some are calling the “new gold rush”?

Just look at a little history,
None of the oil & coal money people wanted Obama in the white house but we put him there...... if the people can be shown that "yes we can" is not dead then given the same 3 years you can bet it will start to happen.
As a legalized citizen of the US I have come to believe if anyone can do this the USA can. So we need the "green energy & yes we can" bumper stickers in yer face attitude....
When the chips were down......
1. Russia turned back from Cuba
2. We did put a man on the moon
3. We elected Barrack Obama president
4. Who would have ever thought T. Boone would be working for green energy.

The NG idea is an absolute must for this country but how to get it to your car/truck/rv needs to be talked about...
For your car the home refilling discussion is necessary, the need to put multifuel engines in all of our new automobiles right now to be ready & where LNG can be accessed on our highways. If our cars had the engines the rest would be a money maker.. & if it's money maker it will happen. Ask Boone P.
If we could get a guy on the moon this should be a breeze.. "but for politics of it all"

Email, call, send a letter, write a letter to the editor, today to say THANK YOU to Sen. Robert Menendez of New Jersey for introducing the Senate version of the NAT GAS Act of 2009!!

More than 35 Members of Congress joined T. Boone Pickens for a photo on the steps of the United States Capitol to celebrate the first anniversary of The Pickens Plan, July 8, 2009. These Members of Congress represent the nearly 70 co-sponsors of H.R. 1835, the NAT GAS Act.

Shortly after this photo was taken, Boone was escorted to the U.S. Senate side of the Capitol to participate in the introduction of the Senate version of the NAT GAS Act, S. 1408 by Sen. Robert Menendez of New Jersey and Sen. Orrin Hatch of Utah.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (Nevada) is an original co-sponsor of S. 1408.

I see they have put their videos on their web site. Go there for a complete explaination.

They are completely dependent on the existing utility, their only customer, who use the geothermal power only when they need the capacity, which is most of the time, however. The name of the facility is Puna Geothermal. Here is a link: http://www.punageothermalventure.com/. I was quite a high tech facility with all flat panel displays showing virtual gauges. The main difference is that they recirculate underground water instead of injecting it. For the use of this water, they have to pay the state over $1 million a year in "mineral" taxes. Most of the power comes from the primary turbines, but they even have a Sterling Cycle engine to get the last bit of energy from the heated water. Their advantage is that the magma is close to the surface. Again, they provide over 25% of the total electricity used on the island, which is quite large. If you ever get to Hawaii, drop in on them and they will show you a video that explains the process. I tried to get they to give me a copy, but they declined to do it. They are located on the Northeastern part of the island near Hilo.

The description of "EGS" seems to be similar, but less advanced, to the system in use for the past several years in Hawaii on the big island. I have toured this facility and was told that they must almost shutdown during slack demand because the local utility refuses to purchase it. Except for this problem, they could double the plant's capacity, which presently provides 25% of the total electricity used on that island. This is an outrage! Most of the rest of the electricity, except for some windmills, is generated using fossil fuels.

DC is starting to listen! Boone’s latest email has some great news, but he still needs your help. Please tell your Senators you want them to support the Pickens Plan components of the stimulus package.

There is now a Contact Congress function on the Pickens Plan site specifically for this issue. Go here or to the tabs at the top of this page: “Take Action”, then “Contact Congress” and follow the prompts from there.

We are also encouraging everyone to place calls directly to your Senator’s offices. Here is contact information for Senators Lautenberg and Menendez:

There's still time to contact your representatives about the stimulus package before tomorrow's House vote. Let's try to answer Boone's email with at least 10 calls placed and reported

And here's another approach to the message that is concise and to the point:

"I support the wind energy elements included in the Stimulus Bill which will build upon 2008's successes in the wind energy sector:
-- Extension of the Production Tax Credit
-- Implementation of a renewable infrastructure loan program

I urge you to support doing more on the natural gas side and provide the incentives that will greatly expand the use of domestic natural gas as a vehicle fuel in America. Expanded use of NGVs (natural gas vehicles) will help wean us off of foreign oil and create new American jobs. These incentives include:
-- Increasing the vehicle tax credit to make natural gas trucks more accessible for heavy and medium duty truck operators
-- Extending the fuel tax credit

The Pickens Plan works best as a whole plan - wind and natural gas - and I hope Members of Congress will support that. The Stimulus Bill is a strong start but there's more we can - and should – do."

Looking forward to hearing from you all.

Hello NJ-03 -- Time to get to work.

By now you’ve seen Boone's email about the stimulus package scheduled for a vote in the House of Representatives this Wednesday. We need you to make ONE PHONE CALL today to Congressman John Adlers’s office in DC (202) 225-4765, Toms River (732) 608-7235, or Marlton (856) 985-2777. We also encourage you to reach out to Senators Lautenberg and Menendez.

Here are some talking points to use when you call the Congressman's office:

1. Your constituents support the wind energy elements included in the Stimulus Bill which will build upon 2008's successes in the wind energy sector:
-- Extension of the Production Tax Credit
-- Implementation of a renewable infrastructure loan program

2. We hope you're willing to do more on the natural gas side and provide the incentives that will greatly expand the use of domestic natural gas as a vehicle fuel in America.

3. The Pickens Plan works best as a whole plan - wind and natural gas - and we hope Members of Congress will support that. The Stimulus Bill is a strong start but there's more we can - and should – do.

Once you make your call, leave a comment here and let us know how it went. Or email me directly - judy.depalma@pickensplan.com. And be sure to give me your name and email address so we can make sure you get the 10 MyEnergy points we are awarding for each phone call.

Good luck, and let's go!
