Indie Film “Haynesville” Will Premiere November 23rd On CNBC

“Haynesville” will premiere on Tuesday, November 23rd at 9pm on CNBC. The one hour documentary will repeat that evening at 10pm, 12am and 1am.

The show will also air on:

Sunday, November 28th at 10pm.

“Haynesville”

When the people in rural Northern Louisiana learn they are sitting on a fortune, they struggle to weigh their big dreams against the safety of their community. Some will take the money and run while others learn to negotiate with the big energy companies who are looking to drill into the trillion-dollar natural gas reservoir that lies deep beneath their homes. Will this be easy money or the fight of their lives, in what some are calling the “new gold rush”?

FYI - Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) adopts rules for Ohio’s alternative energy portfolio standard.

"By 2025, at least 25 percent of electricity sold in the state of Ohio by electric distribution utilities and electric services companies must be generated from alternative energy resources. At least half of this energy must come from renewable energy resources, including wind, biomass, hydro and fuel cell, and a minimum of one-half percent must come directly from solar resources. One half of these renewable energy facilities must be located in Ohio."

For me, what is great about the PickensPlan and our mission is that we try to be non-partisan and on task. Our successes - or failures - is not determined by China or others do but by how we choose to act - or not.

I like to make sure the outcomes from my work measurable. Sometimes it is - sometimes it is not. However, www.unhub.com has been helpful in the number of click throughs of a specific link. It isn't fancy but it works. Totals for the last 7 days from links I posted on Twitter, Facebook and Linkedin - to see the results visit http://unhub.com/7pHk.

Hi All,

The Newark Advocate printed a letter to the editor submitted from PickensPlan's Ohio Leader (Veronica Gold) and cosigned by myself thanking our US Rep. Pat Tiberi for his support of the Nat Gas Act of 2009.

See the editorial at http://unhub.com/w7fB

My mom will be so proud!

If you haven't done so please support the Nat Gas Act of 2009 and contact your Congressional Leadership at http://unhub.com/WrBS. Just fill in the form - PickensPlan does the work!

Okay - not my most brilliant moment. In the middle of my 6 mile run tonight I realized it was Beggar's Night in Johnstown, OH. All the businesses in "downtown" were open passing out candy, families were out with their kids and people where milling about. It dawned on me what a great opportunity I was missing to recruit members for the PickensPlan movement on the Nat Gas Act of 2009.

Won't make that mistake again!

Why support the Nat Gas Act of 2009?

The HR 1835 New Alternative Transportation to Give Americans Solutions Act of 2009) is good for America.

Natural Gas Act of 2009 highlights - http://unhub.com/8ICh

This increases the use of domestically produced natural gas to power trucks. All NEW big rigs would be given an incentive to burn natural gas instead of diesel. Plus NG burns cleaner and is therefore environmentally friendlier and is readily available in the US from existing wells. It is also significantly less expensive to refine. Actually there is almost no refinement necessary for NG.

Spread the word!
