Indie Film “Haynesville” Will Premiere November 23rd On CNBC

“Haynesville” will premiere on Tuesday, November 23rd at 9pm on CNBC. The one hour documentary will repeat that evening at 10pm, 12am and 1am.

The show will also air on:

Sunday, November 28th at 10pm.

“Haynesville”

When the people in rural Northern Louisiana learn they are sitting on a fortune, they struggle to weigh their big dreams against the safety of their community. Some will take the money and run while others learn to negotiate with the big energy companies who are looking to drill into the trillion-dollar natural gas reservoir that lies deep beneath their homes. Will this be easy money or the fight of their lives, in what some are calling the “new gold rush”?

From the desk of T. Boone Pickens

Hey Army!
Congress is on its Spring break, but that doesn’t mean they’re out of touch. Most U.S. Senators and Representatives are back in their home states and districts willing to meet with and listen to their constituents.
That’s you!
When they left for their recess legislation had been introduced to promote natural gas; to promote energy efficiency; to promote a 21st century transmission grid; and to promote a national Renewable Energy Standard – in short to promote THE PICKENS PLAN.
In my business career I have seen too many people miss out because they thought that getting close was good enough. You and I know that when you are close, that’s the time to turn up the heat and push the ball over the goal line.
Click here to send your Member of Congress an e-mail - today. Drive over to one of their local offices and chat with a staffer. Click here to coordinate an event with fellow Pickens Plan supporters in your area by joining your District Group.
Let’s keep the pressure on and we’ll win for the Pickens Plan, but more important, we’ll win for America.

Hi Jessica:

Thank you for the information on the Virtual March... It is important that citizens around the country be reminded that their voices are heard and alternative energy and new energy sources is a critical first step in restoring and rebuilding our economy!

The Pickens Plan is organizing a Virtual March on Washington to be held April 1-3, 2009.

So what is a "Virtual March"?

We are going to utilize the size and unique capabilities of the New Energy Army to have an enormous impact on the White House and Congress. The Army will focus its energy during those three days on e-mails, calls and faxes to every Member of Congress.

Between now and then we will be engaging in a series of activities to get ready for the event, including:

* Contacting Members of Congress through email and phone calls to encourage support for key aspects of the Pickens Plan.

* Recruiting new members of the Army in every Congressional District.

* Submitting letters to the editor and op-eds to newspapers around the country.

* Holding district meetings and house parties with members of the Army to discuss ways to have an impact.

* Participating in webcast events.

We will be communicating with members of the Army via email, Push, Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and LinkedIn to build support and enthusiasm for the event. Make sure you are connected to us on any of these platforms where you have a profile!

Be sure to take photos and videos of your activities over the next couple months - we will soon be inviting you to submit items to be featured here on the Virtual March homepage.

Sign up today to participate in the Virtual March and recruit your friends and family to join you!

(If you are interested in visiting your Members of Congress during the virtual march, please contact your Regional and/or District Leader for more information.)

HI Tom:

I read your page for Pickens Plan and you are clearly for alternative sources of energy. I agree pork barrel spending is a function of dysfunctional government... this seems to be an issue that has surfaced over the 8 years with the prior administration as well. What do you think of the compromise that cut out quite a bit of the earmarks for individual congressmen and women? Do you support a transparency provision which states; "if you put an earmark in and deliver the bacon back home - you need to have your name, photo and rationale for the press and public to see? I actually like it - that way good government groups can track contributions around your suggestions .... this was something lacking for quite some time.

Take care and thank you for commenting - you are stating some important issues that need further discussing throughout the next legislative session!

This so-called stimulus plan is a bad joke. Pelosi & crew should be embarrased but that'l never happen. The minor portion of this bill to support renewable energy is no reason to support this bill. What happened to NO pork Mr President? Let get real.

The Debate on the Stimulus Package:

Thank you for your comments pro and con ... without a good debate we will not be able to get to the right solutions for our economy. Our future depends on all of our input and ideas. To put into effect a good rule; "Lets make sure that if we have criticism on the need for alternative energy solutions - lets generate ideas to take its place."

Without ideas and all naysaying ... we will be right back where we started.

So All individuals checking out this webpage - lets hear from you! What are your solutions to the dependency on foreign oil and its impact on our economy?

What are your solutions for the transition between petroleum based energy only - and Natural Gas, Wind and Solar alternatives --- remember an entire sector in our economy is making a livelihood on petroleum - how do we transition into a more diversified energy system for our nation?

I'd love to hear about your solutions and ideas ... and remember - Naysaying is like standing still .... we can not afford to stand still at this time, in this economy!

Terri

I support the Energy Package in the Stimulus Package! ... Our small business and economy needs innovation in alternative energy to survive. With the right investments and grants to convert our truck engines and our community fleets to natural gas --- we could effective bring home billions of dollars into the U.S. economy. What could be better than that?

Wisconsin District 8:

Please know that the U.S. Congress will shortly put together its plan for an energy renewal package. Representative Government requires us to communicate with Rep. Kagen in making our voices known on this very critical issue to our economy.

Please invite 3 colleagues and friends to join the WI-8 group to advance alternative solutions for energy.

Then Please Contact our congressional represtative Rep. Kagen and thank him for his support of the Pickens Plan initiaitves ..... Your thank yous are critical to advancing the agenda through Congress as a part of jobs and economic development.

With alternative energies as a priority in the U.S. House and Senate - we will be able to focus jobs where they will make a difference; that is the United States Economy rebuild, and U.S. security through independence.

THANK you for signing up with us ... now its time we all take action.
Please comment as to how its going on this wall.
