No doubt we have to push green architecture forward, some of us have been committed for many years. Problem is banks in particular are interested in nothing but profits and protecting their investment (mortgage), no long term vision or forced by shareholders to seek short-term profits driven by relentless greed! I say - get with it, share the wealth and let's all enjoy life before we wreak the planet. Cheers, M Doll

conservation is certainly a part of 'alternative energy' A considerable amount of energy is used in the production and operation of buildings. USGBC is providing resources to evaluate our progress through LEED cetification. I don't think we only have to convince our clients to go green, but we as architects have to understand what that means and take every opportunity to make greener decisions today than yesterday...

Please take look at our group site Mariah Power. The Windspire is now on display in Washington D.C. at the U.S. Capitol Botanic Garden through October 2008. Units are going up in California, Nevada, and Utah now, and we will very visable and effective throughout Hawaii this year. Mariah will be available worldwide as production increases with the completion of a new plant in Youngstown, Ohio.
