WHO WE ARE & WHAT WE ARE DOING HERE....AND HOW YOU CAN HELP US, HELP US ALL.

We are the American Association of Algae Biofuels Producers.

AN IMPORTANT TASK IS TO PLAN HOW TO PUT EQUIPMENT IN THE FIELD INSTEAD OF THE LAB.
ANY ASSISTANCE OFFERED WILL BE COORDINATED BY OUR GROUP MODERATOR. -Thank you

We are all here to act as a freely flowing source of the types of algae specific information that isn't easily available. Except for within the heads of our members due to their long experience working to make algae a viable alternative fuel source.

Seen anything new in algae biofuels? Keeping secrets is bad form. Go ahead & blab!

We desire to promote open exchange of ideas so we can all help save ourselves. Got any?

hi matt. I am a shareholder in a corporation that produces bio fuels from a mixture of waste palm oil, cooking oils from restaurants, and produces a high quality grade of bio diesel ....they seem to do well, but i can not figure out in my mind why its not catching on in a larger market......care to comment....cecil...

We've been very busy at SCIPIO Bf. The demonstration should begin in roughly a month.

The greatest thing T. Boone Pickens did in creating this site was to provide a mechanism of communication for those of us involved in changing the world through renewable energy....... I believe Algae is the King of the Bio-fuels and look forward to seeing the progress of Matt and others involved in this cause!

Please see sustainable-lake-county-oregon.com and look on the second page, lower right side for Full Cycle Energy Utilization that uses Algae in its geothermal energy based Agri-business green job economic development concept for the rural west...

Thanks,

JC

Has everyone seen this from Popular Mechanics?

Of course renewable algae based biofuels scare them. They have no knowledge, understanding or advantage in the only industry that could possibly unseat the petroleum industry from it's entrenched position in the economies of the world. The oil industry will always be needed. The specialized lubricants, sealants, plastics and other synthetics needed for other technological advances must come from somewhere. All we want to do is take over the "consumables" aspect and replace it with "renewables". The real problem is that these people think their ego's are at stake. They aren't. Unless the oil industry keeps ignoring algae as a viable solution to the problems of pricing and environmental impact. Their ego's are only harmed by themselves AS they persist in their old ways. If you think they're scared now, wait until they figure out that I can't be bought.

Who? Me? Thank you, that's very nice of you to say. But, I'm just a guy, who knows a guy, who knows a guy, etc., etc. We received word today of $5M to fund a two acre technology demonstration for the real investors. This way we get to shake the bugs out of the weirdest looking PBR we could come up with while the several square miles for the full scale production facility is in planning and early construction. Time compression is the key here. Until I (whose credibility is at stake) have verified the results we all anticipate making me confident enough to allow a press release, we need to keep this just between us girls here the AAABP.

I just love this idea. But, ideas don't put diesel in my truck. Please get some investors, start production and get the diesel into the storage tanks at the gas stations.

However, I won't be holding my breath. I've known about non-oil based forms of energy since the 1970s. That's nearly 40 years - and we are still using oil.
