Hi, American Patriots -- thanks for all you're doing in the Greater Houston area for the Pickens Plan.

If you, your members or other contacts in the area are available to attend Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee's energy town hall meeting today, please do! Let's ask some questions about the Pickens Plan and put pressure on these folks for real action and real solutions.

We need to get these folks talking about the plan --- details re: the event are below -- thanks for your help in getting Houston area folks out to this event:

Aug. 6. 6-8 p.m. HOUSTON, ENERGY TOWN HALL — U.S. Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, co-chair of the Congressional Black Caucus Energy taskforce, will host an energy town hall meeting, at which the nation's top oil executives, Shell, Exxon Mobil, Chevron, BP, and ConocoPhillips, will discuss solutions to the growing energy crisis with Houston residents.

Location: School of Business Auditorium, Texas Southern University, 3100 Cleburne
