Oh, I should state, I'm still a skeptic on global warming. But ether way, I assume after we all cook for a million years, that we will freeze for another million.

I just switched to E85 only in my Chevy Suburban and won't go back to regular unleaded. I have not noticed a drop in performance or gas mileage. I have been saving $20/fill up. I'm supporting the local farmers and refineries creating jobs and keeping my $ in the U.S.A. I don't have to send my $ overseas. And my understanding is that I just lowered my emissions therefore I'm not contributing to global cooling.

We are going to need every source of energy we can develop. Our politicians and policies have nearly guaranteed the Dollar will fail. If/when that happens, there will not be any oil tankers coming to our shores, plain and simple.

There is a way to replace all our energy needs using waste sources we are currently ignoring. In that spirit, I offer a solution by David Blume to improve the energy balance sheet in a big way, not just swapping deck chairs on the Titanic.

Mr. Pickens,

Thanks for sticking up for what You Believe in!

Want more methane using waste sources that we currently ignore?

One plan suggested by David Blume involves using primary treated waste water from sewage treatment to grow cattails on marginal land, empty gravel pits, or even certain types of mine tailing piles.

Ten sections per U.S. County is all it takes to do this and the technology is here right now. Nothing new is needed.

Bottom line? 100 billion gallons methane, 50 billion gallons ethanol. (GGE)

"Boosting" cattail marshes with scrubbed CO2 from Methane digestion and ethanol fermentation will make yields increase even more.

Additional Benefits? Clean water coming out the back end of those cattail marshes treated to tertiary treatment levels. Fishing in streams and rivers would improve with less nitrates and phosphates in them.

I will send You a copy of "Alcohol Can Be a Gas" that details the plan.

Just ask.

Or buy Your own copy.

An Ethanol source for the individual.
