LR is ok, we might also consider either Fayetteville or Harrison as an additional site since a fair number of else are in this NW section. I'll be in LR Sat, July 19, for the State Democratic Conv at Robinson Center. Don't know exactly what the schedule will be but I would enjoy meeting the LR and surrounding area people later in the day if any of you are interested. This is exciting!

Natural gas as well as wind farms in the central part of the country can go a long way towards curbing our dependence on foreign oil. We need to begin to fix this problem NOW. We've known for many years our dependence on foreign oil was continuing to grow, but fixing the problem never seemed to be much of a priority. As the price of oil continues to rise, it's going to force us as a nation to begin to take action.

Besides wind power and natural gas, there are other technologies that can and should be developed. One of them is the air car that is a real-world product that is going on sale in the U.S. sometime in 2010. The website is http://zeropollutionmotors.com. We've used compressed air technology for a variety of uses, but never much as an energy storage medium. Compressed air as a means of storing energy is obviously a technology that can and will make it's own impact.

As gas and diesel prices continue to rise, people will be forced to seek alternatives. I am confident that we Americans will use our ingenuity in order to fix these problems so future generations can continue to live in the greatest country in the world.

Hey Don,

this is just a note to tell you thanks for starting this site and I'm glad I found it. I live in Hot Springs and if I can do anything to help just let me know. I've been interested in re-newable energy for years now, I'm not a desk pounder or any thing like that but just a person looking to help clean up the world.

So good to see Arkansans joining together to make a difference.
I would love to do whatever I can to help get this movement some omomentum. We as Arkansas are affected in so many ways by this plan, from the boom in Fayettville Shale to the new Windmill Plant in LR. This is going to be great for our State and our Country.

Just a thought...the conversion to propane (what the rural folks get in AR) is probably similar to the CNG and propane is readily available here. I think Joe Box can provide additional technical info for doing this. One could conceivably take an existing vehicle ,preferably paid for, and make a suitable town car (or pickup) fairly simply. If you don't have car payments sometimes the conversion makes sense economically, even if no one rebates you for your efforts.

From Larry in Clinton-
I logged on last night and am really excited about this movement. After going to bed, I got to thinking about all the natural gas that has started leaving the state from the Fayetteville Shale gas fields. I think that just about anyone would be willing to convert to CNG if we could just get it. Who better to get it going than Wal-Mart. I may have a connection to push that idea forward to them, however, should anyone else think that is a good idea and have a connection, have at it.

Please take a look at our group site Mariah Power. The Windspire is now on display in Washington D.C. at the U.S. Capitol Botanic Garden through October 2008. Units are going up in California, Nevada, and Utah now, and we will very visable and effective throughout Hawaii this year. Mariah will be available worldwide as production increases with the completion of a new plant in Youngstown, Ohio. For more information contact Bill Mollring at : 831 402-2037 mrbillmaui@yahoo.com -

Hello. We are from the Heber Springs area and are really interested in the PickensPlan. We will work to recruit new members from this area. Maybe with ALL of us across this country working, we can finally get someone to listen!!
