What do you want? Some one that can blow glass? Not me, but I will learn it if you are teaching it!
Turning wood? I have a wood lathe and have tried in vain to find a helper or expert to learn from.
How about painter? Yes, I have painted and love the art, but I haven't done it for over 10 years! It is a symptom of our age, that we are too busy to do the things we love, because we need to eat and "Live". I earn just enough to be indebted for the rest of my life. About to lose my house...no gain.
How about Pottery? I love this art! I have done it several times, but do not even have one of my own pieces left! Just a batch of glaze test pieces on a board!~ I want to do this stuff! But, no gain.
So, do you draw any? I draw all the time and have illustrations and designs and tons of stuff that have no category! It is sadly to no end or gain. But I love it.
So, if you aren't any of the above, what exactly do you do? Well, I write music, I sing and play a myriad of musical instruments and some I have not yet met, I can also play, somewhat haltingly. I am good at this, but sadly, no gain.
I wrote the song, "We need the Wind to Survive" but no one read it, no one but Jack even attempted to do anything with it, and Jack rewrote it the way he thought it worked, so now, I assume it just wasn't the right beat or perhaps the notes might help? Still, it was a disappointment.
Yet, I do write Poetry, have many pieces in publications, a lot of those The Best of Poets Books and a very few of those Noble House International books, but no gain.
I write creatively about energy issues and some think my comments are good, but no gain.
I am a Science Fiction writer and Screen play writer, but no way to get them edited so not puiblished.
I am a children's book enthusiast and I wrote a story that is ready to go to press, but for now, no gain, because the illustrations are sub-par and the idea is larger than my ability to write it down. Millions of dollars just waiting for an audience, but for now, no gain.
So, I love landscaping and built this incredible pathway of stone and rock, but it just about broke me to get it done, and so, no gain. So, with all these efforts and all these semi-failures you would think I was unhappy, but it isn't even true! It is the effort that is fun, it is the experience that is the gain, it is the desire to help others that has rewarded me, so to that there is always gain.
And of course, I like women a lot, so I spend time helping my friends and finding others, and there is always a bush that needs trimming or a tree that has an overhanging limb to be cut down. So, I can live with the lack of riches, but I stagnate sometimes at work and invention seems an art in itself, because people do not see the value in things as they are intrinsically set, so sometimes I am frustrated with the world, that sees a building as a function instead of a monument, and sees a window as a way to see out instead of a way to see both in and out and around and through and above and below the levels of common things. So, I like to see things in the distant future, and sometimes they scare me, for I know they are possible, and know they could prevent art, and sometimes worry about present day men and women that do not view life as the shimmering entity that has the ability to be many things at once, depending on your view.
I also like Astronomy and photography and scientific innovations, and future technology, and even UFOs. Especially when there is evidence there is need to understand their presence, if they exist.
I like mysteries of nature and the outer world, but enjoy peering into the inner worlds as well. I like to swim and love to see new lands, because every one has new seeds and new plants and need bugs and new dangers, and new ways to act in order not to damage sensitive systems that recognize you.
So, If I have missed something, it will show up, if I have omitted something it will reveal itself. And if I am mistaken, understand I just don't understand the rules, and you will like me in the end.
