THE POSSIBILITES ARE INFINTE! The purpose of this group is dual. First: to literally round-up all artists in the PP Army. Second: to establish a single location where artists can make themselves known to each other and to all on this site.

The word “ART” is derived from the Latin word ARS, ARTIS, which means TO JOIN TOGETHER

There is a particular manner of communicating (an incredibly powerful one) that can be, and is, used as a two-way bridge between the coarse suppressive brutalities of life and the higher more expansive universes from where one can experience vistas of freedom, aesthetics and action never before imagined. This way of communicating can actually circumvent blind ignorance and disintegrate such lower based emotions like antagonism, anger, hate, resentment, fear, grief, despair, hopelessness and even apathy. Communicating in this manner can instantly turn a hard time into a good time and on occasion even raise the dead. In this way of communicating bridges are built upon which we travel from despair to hope and from old realities into the new and, as yet, uncharted ones. The manner of communicating that I am referring to is what we know as ART. Art is incredibly fluid throughout the entire range of human emotions and it can reach in to caress, sooth and revive even the darkest pockets of almost completely solidified emotion. With adroit execution art can instantly place you into the bowels of a particular unthinkable and painful brutality then rescue you with a single note, a lyric, a word, a touch, a taste or an image.

Art, if correctly used, is a wonderful tool to be used in the process of education. Using art one can by-pass many of the fundamental barriers to learning thus achieving rapid duplication and elevated understanding resulting in a higher order of civilization. The point is art is one hell of an effective tool but it is just a tool. It is the intention behind how the tool is being used which is key.

Many years ago I heard a guy put it like this: Life can be like an uncovered wooden box on two iron bars being rapidly dragged across frozen ground by a four-legged hairy beast. . . or . . . life can be like a one horse open sleigh dashing through the snow. Which expression (wavelength) of life would you prefer to reside in? Hence, it is suggested that art is not just a manner of communicating; it is also the quality of the communication.

The knowing use of art toward the attainment of the Pickens Plan goal is critical to the success of the game. The artist that resides within each and every one of us has at hand the means by which to seek out and reveal the infinite aspects of our goal for all to see as it sits there in the future waiting for our arrival. Truly, the artists have at their disposal the means by which to greatly expedite this movement into a new paradigm of energy and much more.

Artists are recognized and acknowledged as being the senior and most key players in the game Pickens Plan. That's my truth. You may or may not agree with it. -Monte

Your poem, My daughter (Rightly and Wrongly), exemplifies the above concept. With just a few lines you took me into a personal condition and level of understanding that could have not bee experienced on such a level otherwise.

That is ART.

Art is the way in and art is the way out.

I was watching tv as I was writing an email to my book agent and saw the Pickens Plan on tv so I explored the plan more on the website and became hooked on the plan and felt compeled to do more -- especially with the rising cost of transportation and gasoline in California and the economy. I'm neither a Democrat nor a Republican. For a while, I considered myself as an Independent Reformist. But while writing my book about life in the 23rd Century, it pushed me into the Green Party. I am and advocate of the environment and have a deep concern about global warming, saving the planet, and by all means, maximizing and finding alternative energy. I look forward to joining this cause.

I also read Mcain-Lieberman Act, S. 342 and his New Energy Plan "Lexington Project" you will find it at www.nrdc.org/energy. I will say that God Help us if Obama does get in-this man is truely without a clue. Mcain is more in line and I wrote him sujecting he just try and out ego aside and partner with T. Boone. Together the three of them would have a real plan. We will see if old ways can be over come. Anyway, we should be informed on all sides. I can broadcast videos, PSAs on the Public Access TV station in my town. As long as they follow the Public Access guidelines and as long as you have the legal rights to broadcast the material (meaning you own the material or it resides in the public domain)

And thank you all for signing in. Now, two things....

FIRST THING: The next step is for each of us to begin teling our story and letting others know what we want them to know about us.

Basically, I am pretty much creating the organizational structure of this as I go. If you have any ideas or suggestions please don't hesitate to jump in and share them. While I do have affinity for my own ideas I can also recognize a better idea than mine when it comes along. Having said that, here is my idea for how we can share our personal data here on this group page: We start a discussion with our name/moniker as the title of the discussion and in doing so we essentially are creating our personal "page" within the group. And this is where we share our story. And there is no suggested structure for anyone to follow with regards to how they present their unique story and personal data. I do expect that in most cases the story will be a progressive one that we will add to as we go along. Of course, as we share our personal story, others can leave comments and replies on our discussion as they wish.

Certainly this system is far from being ideal. But I think we can make it be viable and live up to the purposes stated for the group. But...if you have another idea about how to proceed with this please don't be bashful.

SECOND THING: Promote this site to anyone and everyone. As it grows it will become an incredible resource for this site.

May we always desire to play a better game and create a better tomorrow (for everyone!).

At some point I want to do a fundraiser/songwriter showcase for elflive here in Branson. Branson needs to go Green! anything I can do, let me know. I'll keep checking in....hope you're not feeling the effects of Ike too badly. I think we'll wake up to a bit of it in the morning. kris
