I was one of the early sign-on folks, back in early July of last year. One of the appeals was that this was non-partisan. From a technical sense, I found it very interesting, but I felt there was something missing from the appeals. It feels like, to me, the big push is for getting a load of federal cash to make this happen. If that's true, I'm disappointed, as if the idea is solid enough to stand on it's own, it will make good business sense without a huge dump of pork money.

I have been continuing to get emails from T. Boone, asking me to push my senators and congressmen to push the Stimulus-Porkulus project. I personally disagree with the "stimulus" plan, I feel it's bad policy, and will push an enormous amount of debt obligation onto my ancestors...all for what appears to be standard-grade, typical Washington D.C PORK. We've been implored to support this pork push NOW, before anybody gets to read it.

And then today, my "last" email from T. Boone, he notes the summit where he's meeting with people who "know what they are talking about when it comes to energy policy", and mentions John Podesta, Harry Reid, Al Gore, Carol Browner, Carl Pope....I admit, I threw up in my mouth a little after I stopped laughing uncontrollably.

This effort seems to have become very partisan. Maybe that is the result of the election, and maybe T. Boone thinks it needs to be. I think it's the wrong path...it's only my opinion, and I cannot support something that appears to have morphed into a left-wing "gimme, gimme, gimme" organization.

Best of luck to everyone.
