There is no doubt that Mr. Pickens is misinformed if he thinks Barack Obama has not made energy independence one of his highest priorities in his plan for his first administration. For Mr. Pickens to say that "neither candidate has made energy independence a priority" to Katie Couric and for her not to challenge him when he said it is outrageous.
