Barack Obama Is A Strong Alternative Energy Man

Barack Obama Is A Strong Alternative Energy Man

Mr. Pickens is fully misinformed when he states on CBS News that Mr. Obama hasn't made energy independence one of the cornerstones of his campaign. He HAS. Energy Independence legislation is One of 3 Primary goals for the first Obama administration.

My idea is to utilize the $25 Billion President-elect Barack Obama proposed to invest in rebuilding America's roads by painting them with reflective paint to reflect solar energy in an effort to offset the loss of glaciers. In the near future this project could mature to begin working with solar paint to absorb solar energy to utilize for street lights, electric cars, etc.
Reasons I believe this is an idea worth pursuing:
a.) Blacktop absorbs and holds heat and heats up cities.
b.) Painting roads would be a good way to equally distribute global cooling and reverse global warming.
With kind regards,

Four Easy Steps to this Election

1.) Vote Democrat hands down this round.
2.) Get the Republicans completely out of office!
3.) Bring the Green Party and Independent Party in the office(s)!
and 4.) Majority Vote Wins!

Everyone seems to have needs of an enemy, so make it the Earth and taking care of it.

So much for suspense. With Sarah Palin as McPain's running mate, it's pretty clear Barack and Joe will be our New Energy champions for the USA in January. I think John was having a Senior Moment this morning. Thank God he didn't pick someone qualified to step in if he dies.

I noticed Barack said he's support "Clean Coal" and "Nuclear Energy". I certainly don't and I prey he only said that to help him win West Virginia. LOL.

But Al Gore's speech yesterday was outstanding.

I agree with Mark. If we "drill here, drill now" it is no guarantee that the oil drops we will get (if any) will stay here in America. Some or all will get exported by the oil companies if they can make more money by selling it to other countries. I believe Barack would stipulate that if we do drill in the US, that the oil needs to stay here. McCain pushes for free trade with other countries so he does not want us to squelch trade and is opposed to American products staying in America (see American-made Harley Davidson article/protectionists) because he feels it undermines free/fair trade.

Even if we do get oil here in the US and get to keep it, it will take years and we need something else in the meantime, NOW. Boone says natural gas is the answer. My husband works for a gas company here in Texas and he says their company fleets run on natural gas. The city of Austin has electric cars that the local government uses and the metro buses run on propane/natural gas. We have a Smart Car dealership and those awesome little bugs are becoming more and more common around here. Texas is doing something but we need more action nationwide.

On another note McCain not only wants to "drill here, drill now" but he also is pushing for nuclear energy, however, he wants to put the waste in NEVADA! I don't want it in Texas and he does not want it in his state of Arizona! I don't see why he wants to dump it in Nevada?? This energy plan should be a bipartisan effort but when people start pushing political buttons, I will speak out for Obama because he has a brilliant mind and many support staff that are very capable to make good decisions.

The ones in Texas are much bigger, some 8X bigger! I, too, feel Barack is the one who will back alternative energy. Pickens said: "This is one problem we can't drill our way out of." He would know, he is a geologist... and an oil man.
