Hi, Bear Kats for Pickens Plan -- thanks for all you're doing in the Greater Houston area for the plan. If your members or other contacts in the area are available to attend Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee's energy town hall meeting today, please do! We need to get these folks talking about the plan --- details re: the event are below -- thanks for your help in getting Houston area folks out to this event:

Aug. 6. 6-8 p.m. HOUSTON, ENERGY TOWN HALL — U.S. Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, co-chair of the Congressional Black Caucus Energy taskforce, will host an energy town hall meeting, at which the nation's top oil executives, Shell, Exxon Mobil, Chevron, BP, and ConocoPhillips, will discuss solutions to the growing energy crisis with Houston residents.

Create and supply your own power.
Take a look at our group site Mariah Power. The Windspire is now on display in Washington D.C. at the U.S. Capitol Botanic Garden through October 2008. Units are going up in California, Nevada, and Utah now, and we will very visable and effective throughout Hawaii this year.
