Big Wind Biochar Dump Load Regulation

Information

Big Wind Biochar Dump Load Regulation

an electrical pyrolysis load allows excess wind energy to be used to maximize char and syngas production..syngas generators then produce electrical energy under low wind conditions, forming a carbon negative base load solution.

I think Walter did a better job of explaining the economics, and details, better than i did....really, i'd like to keep discussion beyond this to a minimum so newcomers can quickly grasp the concept.....my primary concern is that homeland progress is being made along these lines.( it would not be safe to assume this was being accomplished at a satisfactory rate ,only to find out every one thought someone else was doing it).....any breaking news should be posted under Discussions.

Thanks.

Hi Erik:

Understood. Yes, the syn-gas could be sold for on-peak hours rather than off-peak use and the Bio-Char would have commercial value to farmers and areas of soil depleted minerals eventually reducing plant emissions of carbon dioxide. Long term program and begins with baby steps. Feasible.

not slow....your sharp as a tack,

now imagine the biochar units on site with the turbines in the wind corridor/bread basket...with syngas generator back up...

i'm talking base load+fuels.....Pickens Plan Packaged!

Hi Erik:

Now I see where your going with this; not bad at all. Pyrolysis burn fired by the microwave/infrared energy conversion from wind. Syn-gas is shipped/sold as a fuel and Bio-char sold or utilized for soil regeneration + reduced CO2 ultimate emissions from the plants. Sometimes I'm a little slow on the uptake.

Hm-mm. Good concept.

Hey, good ta have ya on Walter.

Not talking power transmission here....the pyrolysis chamber would be shielded whether it was heated with syngas or ni-chrome..... electrical energy converted to microwave energy transformed into heat energy of water molecules in the biomass gives a very high efficiency electrical to heat conversion, and ya can't beat the heat coupling.....infra red is also a very efficient means of electrical to heat energy conversion....the combination of the two technologies could be blended to achieve optimum char production....

load Biochar into your search....if you haven't studied it yet,i assure you, it's worth your time.

Hi Erik:

While Microwave energy, given losses of energy conversion, is viable to transmit energy - though environmentalist may interfere on various issues of wildlife safety, etc. These frequencies of transmission are 'line-of-site', so the economics of potential repeater stations would also have to be evaluated on a capital economic basis.

There are other methods of energy collection and distribution, such as Cryonite or 'liquid air' production being pursued by Two-Fold Fuel Corporation. It would be interesting to see other options that may surface in this group.

'Good thinking.
