a prarie grass that grows w/ minimal maintainece
grows in marginal farmland
produces 2-3 times as much fuel pre acre than corn
we don't eat it
it is perenial
takes in and stores enough co2 to offset what it takes to produce it
it could line every highway in america that already maintains the grass
it's not the total solution but it will take more than one to fill the 8 % left open out side of coal, wind, and petro products
google swithgrass there is a wealth of information

Yes, Dave: The nice 'environmental hay' along our highways and medians cud be cut with
traditional sicklebar mowers, windrowed [to facilitate pickup/baling] and made into barrel-
sized bales [easier to handle]...They are placed on the trailers that accompany the haying
equipment and taken to the nearest ethanol-distillery...The 'bringers' get a receipt for the
number of bales [eventually a wire-credit? They also get a free fillup of E-85 or bio-diesel
[if state vehicles they don't pay tax...If commercial vehicles, taxes are withheld]...The hay-
ing machines cud be powered by HCCI engines which use E-85 or E-90, working like die-
sels when warmed up [multi-flame-fronts; run better and cooler]...A traditional rotary mower
and trimmers follow the 'hay-makers', completing the job--the places that cannot be 'hayed'...
