Hi all, State delegate for CFL here and worried energy advocate.

The CFL does have a large role to play in this. Since the fastest, best and cheapest solution to fix the whole energy crisis is based on the genuine free market principles and property rights, I believe there is quite a bit we can do to help.

We need to promote legislation that requires utility companies to offer standardized grid connections and published live, real time prices for the power we buy and sell on the grid. This is the single biggest support we can give the thousands of smart appliances and distributed generation systems toward being economically appealing. ...And you all know that once something is appealing, growth in it's sales just rises. Create and supply your own power.
Take a look at our group site Mariah Power. The Windspire is now on display in Washington D.C. at the U.S. Capitol Botanic Garden through October 2008. Units are going up in California, Nevada, and Utah now, and we will very visable and effective throughout Hawaii this year.
